i'm assuming since are appx 10000 threads on this, this pic has already been posted, but i couldn't find it from a search, so i'm putting it up, but mainly for a questionative purpose. it says 2000cc, how does that relate to engine size, as in 1.8L or whatever? i get really confused with all of these measurements such as a 5.7L = a 350 right? (as in a V8). anyone wanna help me out because i'm lost

I highly doubt it will be like that though... Although Toyota is in dire need of a sports car other than the MR-2 spyder and Scion

ahhh... 300 hp from the factory would be nice... but knowing toyota... it would cost like 35000 ... the TT supra's costed over 40, and that was in the 90's.

i always liked this concept, and it looks WAY better than the concept picture we saw last week that BlueBatmobile posted. I kinda hope that celica will keep that aggressive sporty look on their new models.

im guessing billy would know whats going on dealerships see pictures of cars way before they come out.
if there is going to be an 8th gen. he or his dad would know pretty soon.
everything i read is that they are dumping the celica and putting a new celica like car under the new scion franchise.

Extremely old news.

8th gen Celica has already been confirmed, no picture have been released yet.

Why would they release pics of it during the peak sales season (summer time) of the 7th gen which JUST got a new body kit and other features. Pics will probably come at the end of 2004, early 2005 thumbsup

cc means cubic centimeter. So 2,000cc is 2 cubic decimeter which is 2 liter.

So 1.8L is 1,800cc

Hope this explains how we calculate in Europe grin

hopefully, when they stop producing the 7th gen it'll become a classic/old skool car. maybe by then there'll be enough quality aftermarket parts to keep tuners busy.

I just hope the 8th gen engine (if its as big as they say) is swappable into the 7th gen. That would be fun! thumbsup
