I'm planning on getting a unorthodox racing pully set for my 01 Celica GTS but first I would like to know if it's safe for my engine? I have a unorthodox racing pully on my 90 Celica GT coupe and I've been driving it for more than 30,000 miles and I still don't have any problems with it. As a matter of fact, I felt some good hp gains after I installed it.

The UR pulleys aren't safe, and I don't recommend them at all due to the fact that they require you to remove the harmonic balancer. This can lead to crankshaft vibration I believe.
The AEM pulleys would be your best bet. They are safe, and although they don't provide as nice as gains, they won't fuck your car up.

The harmonic balancer prevents your crankshaft from excessive vibration at high RPM's. Since Celicas rev fairly high, it's a good way to go ka boom. ya think about it when ur engine is spining at 7.5k rpmz the slightest improper balance hurts ur engine...i would go with AEM

They will be underpowered from what I hear. UR pulleys are meant for cars with a lot more HP than a Celica if you ask me. Just doesn't do much but cause problems.
