This is the cheapest mod I can do at this point. Hotchkis is probably the best but too much for me right now. So what is better a RMM or a Tanabe Strut Tower Brace? and RMM is like $175 but a Tanabe is only $92 !! But if RMM performs better why not =P

they both perform the same. Only difference is that RMM comes with a battery tie down. The stock piece is good enough, so you don't need a new one, unless you want one for looks. I have the Tanabe & I've never had any problems with & I'm happy with it.

is it me.. or does the Tanabe.. look like a "rinky dink" strut bar.. compared to the APR one??

the APR has like a disk look.. but the Tanabe is more like a ring (doesnt look too durable)

I have had my RMM for 2 years, and it hasn't even begun to show signs of rust, granted I polish it like every other week!!

the reason tanabe is better is because of the "rinky dink" ... even though its WAY strong... the APR sits on top of the actual strut and people hear poping noise with it because the strut moves.

thats why tanabe is better, its just as if not stronger than the APR bar.

Just got my Tanabe in today and installed it.. does anyone have any pics of their install so I can make sure I did mine right? I know it's pretty simple, but I have the bar right on the battery hold down and left a gap between the frame and the bar.

the only reason anyone would hear a poping noise with apr is if they didnt tighten it enough

It should have a gap between the frame and the bar, or else, you'll be rubbing the bar against the frame & end up scratching it grin
