i have two questions. have looked around on the net and havn't really been able to find any stats on these.
1) i'm planning on twin turbo'ing my 03 celica gts. am wondering what kind of horsepower gain i might get from it and wondering if you can actually twin turbo a 03 celica gts.
2) am planning on throwing a turbo into my fiance's 03 eclipse. 210hp 3.0L v6. am wondering what kind of gain would get from that as well.
anything you can tell me about these would greatly be appreciated.

I'd be interested in knowing about the turbo's myself. Can you really bi-turbo a GTS? I didn't think there would be any room under the hood.
If you can, maybe you could squeeze 240 HP out of the GTS, that would be nice.

i think you might be able to twin it if you threw two small ones in there instead of one larger one.

Ive wondered about the twin turboing thing myself, too. But I don't think it's possible cuz:
1. Not enough room. You'd have to take out/relocate a lot of stuff to make room.
2. You only have one intake manifold. If I'm correct, twin turboing would require two intake manifolds, or at least two openings in the manifold - one for each turbo. Makes sense since some of the V6s and V8s out there have twin turbos.

4 cylinders? twin turbo? , you might need a bigger engine and it should be a v6 not an inline 4...

lol..
1) wouldn't want a supra engine in it. first time i hit the gas with that much power in it the frame will bend like a paperclip.
2) i don't want THAT much power.. am looking to get around 300hp out of it if possible.

It is stupid for a 4 cyl to be twin turboed, they take up too much room and are less efficient than one big turbo. Twin Turboed cars are that way cause it creates less lag if one turbo spools and then the other spools later. That's why most cars like Supra's, VR-4's, and whatnot that come twin turbo do the single turbo conversion. Cause they can make way more power with one turbo it just takes a little longer for the one to spool. But with the advancments in turbo charging that are coming out, big turboes are spooling quicker and quicker.

thanks for the info. what i had been thinking if it was possible to twin a 4 banger is stick a large one on and then a much smaller one. the smaller to kick in while the large turbo takes time to spool up. figured that'd be the best way to make my celi into a rocket. hehe

you can put however many turbos you want to on a celica...more than one is redundant, and unecessary.

Latest Import Tuner has the GT300 Celica GTS in it. GT300 for 300hp. It has the Blitz S/C and a Nitrous system, along with with a few more articles. Also, I think Sport Car Compart or maybe that same Import Tuner, has a MR2 Spyder in it w/ the GTS motor. It has loaded goodies (like forged rods, pistons, blah, blah, stuff I nothing about, blu-blah!). But it was worth reading. I just made a post that if money weren't an option, I'd get the Blitz S/C.
I have another option for you to reach 300 hp, more than NOS. Send me an e-mail and I may be able to help you(knowledge) if you can help me and my GTS ($). Hit me up if your interested.

Mixed feelings here. You can do this to a Celica, but your motor work go bye-bye.

Or you could be like sleepy_celica and have both. Give each car an equal amount of attention. Use the Celi for everyday driving, and when you've got that need for speed, bring the Supra out of the garage and hit up a coupla Vettes and Vipers for a race. 2 million smackaroonies?! HOLY SHIT. If you really don't want a Supra, buy one anyway and give it to me.

lol. i don't really like the supra's actually *hides from all the now angry people* lol. i don't mind them.. but i don't want one. i don't want/need 2-cars that i can only drive in the summer. cause when i'm done my celi i'm sure as hell not going to drive it in the winter in alberta. and if i really feel the need for speed i'll completely go overboard on my fiance's eclipse and do as much as i can to the engine and see if i can pump that bad boy up to around 400 hp.. then i'll have the speed. but if i can get my celi up to about 300 hp or so then i really wont need it. not to many vipers to race in edmonton alberta. vettes and stangs mostly here.. and even then not a lot of z06's or saleens either. so meh.. my car will be sweet looking and have a fai amount of go.

with 2 million and only a Celica and my mod car I would design and get my own custom fabricated body kit and I would convert the car into a hardtop convertable and I'd wide body it and have fat wheels in the back. Hell if I was stupid with my money I would convert the car to rear wheel drive and get a very disgustingly awesome paint job. Maybe a thik coat of candy apple red that shits a slight tint of gold and 5 or 6 clearcoats and I'd pay some lil' middle school kid to wax my car like once a week. O yea, I'd also probably purchase an old Z and hook that up to. My daily driver would be a luxury car like maybe one of those nice new yet to be released caddy convertable (maybe they released it). I guess the possiblities are endless. I doubt I'd do all that but if I had a large sum of money at my disposal I'd probably be a lil to foolish. I wish I had the money That Bill Gates has so that whatever I dreamed up would be a reality. But i make 30,000 a year so im not big ballin

If you want to stick with a celica, go for sticking a 3s-gte engine in it. Put a bunch of goodies on it and it will have some power to it. That's what I would do. The engine almost fits perfectly in the engine bay of the celica, cept for one mount. If I had 10K I would do it fo' sheezy.

lol.. ty. if i want super fast cars i'll go buy something like a ferrari or something... but i won't.. i don't really feel the need to get up to speeds of like 170mph... no... i'm goot with going about 110mph. and i can boost the performance in a celica gts (which is the best car out there in my opinion) to go that fast and look incredibly nice. so i'll stick with building my celica.. and i'll build my fiancee her ...ugh... pink 03 eclipse...

FINALLY.. HAHA I have been watching this post all week thinking this guy is totally FULL of it and laughing at everyone who thinks he is telling the truth.. 'cmon 2 mil? You could make payments on a ferrari with just the interest on that. Gimme a break. SOOOO full of it.. Not sure why people do this sort of thing on boards.. don't they know that anyone with brains knows it's BS?.. in addition what is the satisfaction of having total strangers think you have money when you don't? on top of that.. if you are going to bullshit AT LEAST claim you earned the money.. jesus..

That's like telling a rich man he can't wear sweat pants every once in a while, when he wants to dress casual and just kick it with the ol' dog. If I had 2 mil I'd definitely keep the Celi but get a few other cars too

If I had 2 mil, I for sure wouldnt give a damn about what people on here thougth either. (No offense) I would go to a local shop and just be like "Twin turbo this, and dont ask me any questions" JUST GO GET IT DONE. Have fun with engine managment for a twin turbo...That has custom written all over it... www.i-m-racing.com [ i-m-racing.com] has a turbo kit for 4500 for the celi with engine managmetn... peace

I like this cat, too. If I had the doh, I'd dump it in the celica, too. Well, I'd open my own car shop. 2 million is enough to start a very successful car business. I'm getting my degree in management so I can do this. For me, being rich is having a 30 car garage packed tight with some of the wildest, fastest modded cars on the planet. Theres an 11pc. Blue body kitted 800hp Supra rolling around Japan. The kit costs 12000, but it looks like a ~96 Viper on coke. Frickin' sick. That's what I'd buy That's the new name of this thread...What would you buy with 2 million dollars?

i'm back.
if you think i don't have the money then by all means, think i'm bullshit. a lot of people already think it. you don't see too many 20 years olds able to pull a wad of 10,000 dollars out of their pocket too often. that's my 2 cents.
and why do i stick with a celica when i could easily afford a ferrari or a lambo? simple. my dad used to own a 79 celica gt hatchback. it had an engine that could not be killed. it was ugly as sin but i loved that car. it was the first car i ever drove and loved it. it drove like a 6 cylinder with a 4 banger engine in it.
i don't live in california and the roads are shit up here in edmonton. having a car as low as a lambo or a ferrari would be stupid. i would be replacing the front end year after year. i love celica's and don't really care if you think i'm stupid. i'm not looking to go 200 mph. i'm looking to have the car that i already love and it didn't cost me 100k to buy it.
i have my money set up in bank accounts and rrsp's etc so that annually i'm getting about 70 grand in interest. i'm living off the interest. i never have to work another day in my life and i will be able to provide for my kids when they want to go to college. i will have money left over to do whatever i want when i get older. i'm not doing stupid things with the money and going to have it all gone in 2 years.
that's all i have to say about it.

![bs <img src=]() " title="" src="graemlins/bs.gif" /> Say one more thing and post a few bank statements. ![[Deal]](graemlins/deal.gif) Mr. 10,000 dollar bill wad. Hopefully your bank statement will not have only "2 cents." PS. Someone mentioned having a million dollars and wearing sweatpants, I betcha they will be nike, or A&E or something!
