OK lately car companies are making cars that are faster and faster. whether its SUV, Truck, Sport Car, Or minivan. They are putting more HP to the engine trying to compete with other companies.
Anyway, my question is, how far are they going to go? if we go in this pace, around 2020, the civics are going to have like 300hp to the wheels, and porsches will be flying, this will be ridiculous? Or are they going to stop making fast car like back in '70 with gas shortage?

The end of fast cars is here. My celica still gets 27-34 mpg, I can deal thumbsup

milk costs more then gas and thats scary because i love my milk. instead of making cars faster stock i think they should find cheaper fuel and not that gay electric shit. we have plenty of salt water hydro power will be the way of the future!! or if more power with better gas miliage. who here wants a v12 700 whp lambo that gets 45 mpg, i do!! my dad sold his srt10 because he was only getting 7.5 mpg around town and 13 was his best on the highway.

i thought there was a law that restricts car to be only 500hp anything higher wouldnt be street legal
by this i mean those 600+hp supras are illegal to drive in the streets thats why the viper srt 10 was not made to go over 500hp stock(i know it can gain more but it would be illegal if you do so)
i only heared this can anyone confirm??? confused
