Rarely when I drive with my headlights on I can't get my running lights to turn off when I get out of the car. I will turn the car off, 'twist' the headlight controls to the off position but the running lights and dash lights won't shut off. Usually if I turn the lights on and off a dozen or so times eventually the lights will click off. Other times I have to sit and wait about 10 minutes, try again, and then they go off just fine.
Today I had another problem that is probably related. This is the first time this has ever happened. I got to work, turned off the car and removed the key, but the radio and clock stayed on. I tried turning the car from off to acc. quite a few times with no luck. I ended up having to remove the radio faceplate so it didn't run down my battery too much (only the clock stayed on which I figured wouldn't be too bad). After work I got in the car and tried again and this time it all turned off like it should when you remove the key.
Any idea what could be causing these problems and if they are related? They rarely happen. The headlight problem has happened maybe 5x total in the last 6 months and the radio problem has only happened once ever (today).
Oh, this is in a '91 Celica GT, if it matters.
