tough one. I don't like the RX8 becuase of its looks. DOn't like 350 because its 2 seater. If I had to choose, I would go with the rx8, only because it as seats in the back.
Rotary engines are a lot easier to fix than any other engines, thats why i would favor the Rx8 than the 350z. Dont like the 350z too much... resembles more of a domestic car, and according to BMI, drives like it too. The EVO looks uglier than its previous generations, but i would get it outa the choices here. The car is loaded with electronics like the AYC and TCS. The STi would be a good choice too. Rx8 does have potential... it just desperately needs a Turbo (and lower compression). Rotary and Turbo, goes hand and hand like peas and carrots.
350z w/out a doubt over anything under 50,000. 4 door cars are gay no matter how fast they are (evo,wrx,srt-4--all ugly as sin). RX8 is a weird 4 door and I don't like the styling. I would love to have a burnt orange z. I plan on buying that when I get rid of the Celi. The celi has 4 seats but lmao you can't ride back there if you're older than 10!!
Unless you need room for your babyseat in back, you better like the 350z better. It's infinitely faster, has better handling, and WAY more potential for mods. The RX-8 is simply one of the nicer looking coupes out there, but it is by no means a "sports car" in my view.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you
Man get an STi, EVo suck compared to that, all the Sti's down here were im from are faster than all the Evo's stock. The only thing i dont like about those cars is that they are 4 DOORS! = GAY IMO, i now have the choice of 2nd car being any of those cars (350Z, STi, Evo MR, and S200 which im interested in, but not really) and as of now im leaning for a GTS
Dude... 350z aren't all that. I think its overrated, but i cant argue about it being one of the "best-bang-for-your-buck". It understeers a lot for an FR and in my opinion, DOES NOT handle better than the Rx8. I've driven both cars (and the Rx7) and the Rx8 feels like the Rx7s... corners with ease. Rx7 is considered the best when it comes to handling and control, but theres a debate whether the 8s out handles the 7s. 350z is no where near them when it comes to handling. Just sucks that the 8's are friggin' weak as hell.
if you have ever been in a wrx or and evo the inside looks cheap imo. the z is more sporty compared to the 8, mazda even took power away to give it a smooth transition between gears instead of having heads snapping. hopefully mazdaspeed will Turbo it. stock Turbos are prolly far off because the fd lost a lot of sales because it was twin Turbo and made buying unable to afford insurance.

the US spec EVO 8 has no AYC and ACD...the only thing it has is EBD and ABS i believe. another difference is the 5 spd. where the Jspec has 6 spd
you sould see how the EVO MR is goin...its a kick ass car i think.
O crap your right... well there goes the US-spec Lan Evo. I assumed that they would keep the AYC. I dont like all that technology but all of that made the EVO8 in Japan one of the quickest machines on the track. Both the WRX and EVO we're rally bred, they werent meant to look pretty. If it was up to me, I'd buy either of them without all of those luxury items to experience how it was really meant to feel when it was first designed. The LanEvo RS is a step forward.
im asking this cause i had a talk with my mom and dad and they said i was gonna drive my moms lexus for a year then get a 20,000$ car... i can probabbly get a 350z over any of the cars here because of price... not auto... evo will be hard unless i get lucky and i can see that people dont really like the rx8 (first car)... ive moved apart from the celica lol
z over rx8. Theyre neasty imo STI over evo def because evo reminds me of a little lancer and i hate them, its a beefed up lancer. dont like the styling
I'd have to drive them both to see what they're like, but there definitely are a lot of Z's around.
I imagine the Z is heavier, but it has some more power, and the RX-8 is suppose to be fairly agile and it's pretty unique looking. Very hard to answer actually.. I want to say both because they each have their good points, but I did sit in a few Z's when I was shopping for a car and I found it hard to see over the hood since the seats were so low slung and I am like 6', but maybe the just needed some adjusting.

ill b honest..when i heard the rx and the 350 were coming out i was like oh man..talk about over kill..i thought EVERY idiot 16 year old or midlife crisis 50 year olds would buy one..but here in nyc i BARELY see any. more 350z than rx. i think ive only seen 1 or 2 since they came out. i dont know much about the rx.but ehh..i like the 350 better so far.
I'd have to test drive the Rx-8 to give a fair opinion...9,000 rpm redline = ...I've driven the 350Z, and it was instant love...I'd be hard pressed to beat it
