Do fuel injector cleaners really work? confused I was having a problem with it spudder idleing at like 600 rpm. thumbsdown I changed the plugs and that helped some but I think it could be dirty injectors too. I was raceing, shifting from third to forth, but it went into second instead causeing it to SLAP 8000 rpm and blow out a cloud of black smoke cry. Other than the random spudder at idle, there seems to be no problem really poke. Also, does any one else have kinda loud valve tick? is it normal for a celica gt or no? It has been loud for like a year and a half :whatever:

have you check ur lift bolt see if the are broken (if you have GTS celica)?? try cleaning ur MAF sensor with carb+choke cleaner solution..that seem to help with those kind of problem for other people.

If you misshifted and hit 8k rpms then you probably bent your valves and that would explain the spuddering at idle and loud valve tick. Has your CEL came on yet? If it comes on you most likely bent your valves.
