Our motorcycle parts just got more ordered (even though the orders were supposed to be cancelled) we are stuck finishing that up first. But I still think we can have pics of the finished console by end of the month.

I am the only guy that is currently working on the Celica project. I have 2 other guys finishing up our motorcycle orders so that we can get on this full blown. And I am the least experienced one in the shop so I am going very slow they say hehe. But no worries I am only this slow because I am a perfectionist. I also can only work on the project after my real job. So it is moving along at a snails pace right now. But again I should be able to have a pic of a finished console by the end of the month and will have a pic of it in a car (I have dibs on the first one) to show how it looks fitment wise. I am also going to be taking pics of some of our motorcycle parts tonight and should have em posted by tomorrow (if I can get em outta the stupid camera)

Would you make anything for the 5th gens? If so, maybe a Carbon All-Trac hood, and Carbon CS Front Bumper...hehe just a thought.

LoL, he'd have to get the parts so he could make a mold, and that would be AFTER he finishes the stuff he's already started. Finish one project and clear the demand for the project before you move onto the next so you always have happy customers and pleased pockets.

Hkysk8r has that correct, that and the fact that my current autoclave is not large enough for hoods. But I will be happy to start doing parts for any car after I have caught up to all other projects. E-mail me, PM me, or catch me on aim Carbonfibrdesign and we will talk.

Since this is not a project that we are going to be doing (at least not planned as of yet) you can currently get the Carbon Fiber hatch from VIS. Now it does not include the lexan (but is strongly recomended that you do use it). But they are selling it right now for only $550 and I am probably going to order one for myself lol. Just look on their site and give them a call, seem to be nice people, but they do not know much about the product they sell. But from what I hear it is a good product.

I wouldnt buy something like that without knowing exact dimensions and weights which nobody could tell me. lol especially since I have a current solution that cost me $60 lol it really needs to be a race only application with no room for things like the wipers and stuff. If it weighed more then 10Lbs w/o lexan it would be a shame. but should someone bring one out weighing 10 lbs or less it would be a great investment. you'd be lookin at 70 lbs weight loss not counting removing any wing you may have.

Ok guys for those of you who are reading both of my posts on here you may already know that I have bad news for you all, for those of you who do not I will explain it here again. We are having a buttload of trouble with both the center console, and the pillars. The way they clip in has created unexpected problems for us. We are working to get around this problem , but expect it to take about another week before we get one out and ready to go. If at that time we can not solve this problm, we may offer to wrap your stock peices in real Carbon Fiber. I was trying to stay away from this, but if it is our only otion for a while, we will offer it. I do believe that we will b able to solve it, but at this time we are not sure. I am sorry again for the delays. My buddy is supposed to post up some pics (motorcycle parts) tonight, and I know we were supposed to have done this a while back. But he said when he tried to the last couple of days the site has been down. So tonight we should have them up. Sorry for the delays here too. Oh wel my boss is coming up here as we speak so I better get off this lol... more updates as they come

along w/ the A pillars can you do both the pillars coming down behind the doors and the ones that come down between the backseat side windows and the rear window?? Thats getting excessive, the dash is one thing, but all the way back to the rear seats? Thats gonna look goofy, why not get a carbon fiber headliner? seat covers? IMO its not gonna work that well, stick with exterior parts and dash area only Carbon Fiber

There are two things that i really want in carbon fiber. For one the part that says celica on it on the rear hatch, i think apr used to make them but dont anymore. And the other thing is the plastic piece that is in between the hood and the windshield, the piece that is under the windshield wipers, that would be great!!!!

LoL guys, it's nice to see Ideas flowing, but we gotta just wait and see how his first projects go down, no sense in bogging his mind down w/ more ideas and making him want to do more than he can at once. Just relax, good things come in time

I am not realy sure what that part is called, but I know what you are talking about. The plastic peice where the wipers attach to the car, and if I remember right have little vents or whatever in em. I am sure we will be doing that peice soon. If we do not have any ideas on how to do our previous 2 projects, then we are going to be moving on to projects such as that that actually screw in or have clips hold them. Will et you all know again at end of next week.

ya he's got it right... right. it's between the windshield and the hood, the vents that are there are the inlets to your heater/ac. it could be pritty nice, but let's stay focused on the JDM center consol and a-pillers (even if the it comes down to the a-pillers just being overlays)

^^^^^I know exactly what you're talkin about...let's see if this actually goes through, and then jump to other stuff...excuse me for being skeptical, it's just that I've been around this site for a long time and I've seen these come and go and they always end in "oh, sorry guys, it got too hard, I"m not gonna do it."

ok guys I know that these always seem to fall through, but this one is not falling through just hittin a major speed bump. It is not too hard, just requires a little special attention. This will be the first time I have ever worked with clips, so that s part of the problem. Not too many parts on motorcycles clip in But we are not going to give up. Has become one of our life goals now is to figure out a cost and time efficient way to do them. I will be putting a guy on making some covers for them, and my covers will be as close to having a Carbon Fiber cover as you can come (looks of course). I hate it when you order a dash kit and it is huge, and still doesn't even really cover the part. So we will see what we ca ndo about that. Again sorry for the dissapointing news, but bad news does not mean that we are going to give up. And besides that I know that all you sceptics out there will faint when we do finally post that pic of the first one ok guys I gotta get back to my real job now, will probably not post up for a few days now so I can have all evening in the shop.

ok guys here is an update that I think may grab some interest. I have decided that I do not want ot buy all the parts that we are going to be offering, so I have a deal to offer to all of you. But do not take it that we will be making everything that you are about to hear about. What we decided to do is offer and extreme discount to those of you who will supply any part that we are going to be making for us to mold and return to you. Now we are only going to be molding these parts for now. But it will speed our production of every part to have our next mold ready while we are doing others. What we are going to try to do it pick 3-4 parts and actually put them all into production. It will be our attempt to make up for stiffing you all on the a-pillars and Center console until we can get them going as well. (and BTW we did make up some huge ground on the console this weekend, but still not good enough for us to sell). So if you have a part that you think we would be interested in making please e-mail me at administrator@midcomachine.com And of course we are only going to be using one part for molds, so the first person who gets ahold of me is the only one that will be recieving the discount when it hits production. I came to this decision on the sole purpose that I did not want to buy a bunch of parts that would be used for a mold and colect dust. Also as soon as we finish the mold we will of course return the part to you A.S.A.P. so that you are not stuck without it holding on us. Just a quick overview, if you have a part that you think we would be interested in (keep in mind I do drive a new celi so OEM parts I have covered) contact me and we will discuss it. If we decide that we want to use it for a mold and future production I will have you mail it to me, mold it and return it to you. And for this inconvience to you, you will recieve a huge discount and the first one that we produce. I thank you all in advance for your help, and also that you all thus far for your patience.

wow that last pic is blurry as hell.. oh well, still no good news for you guys except that we are going to be finishing up the molds for engine plastics (GT and GTS) very soon and should have some pics and prices on it at the same time of course lol. Today I am going to pull the... uhh... (I am not sure what you would call it but the black peice that goes around (near) gauges that has the 2 screws) off and start molding it as well. So we are fianlly getting on the right track after such a hectic start, and I do apologize to you all about the wait, and thank you all for you patience. Even though I personally would have given up on it by now. I do promise we are working our tails off trying to get it done, but it is something 100% new to us, although we love the plastics to the engine because it is one of the very few peices on this car that has no clips lol. But expect us to have a finished product poste dup very soon.
Thanks again you all, Lance

i think your talking about the "hood" right, if it's the black part between the stearing wheel and the clear plastic? and not to be too pickky sounding or demainding but have you ever thought about placing something like a TRD emblem on you Carbon Fiber sheet and cast it in the epoxy with the Carbon Fiber (so that both the Carbon Fiber and the emlem are covered by the epoxy)
