The UPS guy just came and dropped off a present for me...the kind of present that you pay for, but still. TRD Sway bars thumbsup Probly get them installed later this week, for now they're just $300+ pieces of metal sitting on my floor.

yeah hotchkis sways rocks, i heard TRD is more for comfort though. I notice that the TRD sways aren't as thick as hotchkis sways. But you are going to feel the difference right away

Haha, $300+ smile I got mine from TRD Source ...the list price is like $407. So I guess their price is pretty good. Shipping was pretty good (a week to Canada) but y'all saw the import charges. *sigh* It isn't cheap being a tuner up here in Canada frown

^ if that doesn't work...go to ebay & type in "celica + sway bars" & look for Toyogobo (Toyota of Goldsboro)...they sell them for $319 shipped.

rofl See what happens when you mess with me...now you gotta wait 'till next to install them tongue

The total price in US dollars was $387.74 (including shipping) Then tack on $86.45 for UPS import fees. So whatever that total is. Still...I don't think if you ask your dealer it's gonna cost less than that. Good luck thumbsup Ooops, yah I got my stuff from Claremont Toyota - TRD Source

My dealer just quoted me 4.5 hours install time at $80 an hour. I don't think it should take near that long!!! They said even if it doesn't take that long, they'd charge me that anyways?! What the hell! angry

actually it took me 6+ hours the front is a HUGE BITCH!! just do the rear bar yourself. very easy:

remove the exhaust
remove heat sheild
take off the bolts that hold the sways to the endlink
unbolt the brackets holding the sway bar and replace with the new TRD bar, and make sure to grease bushings generously.

Oh for sure...cause they're a dealership eek
They told me to expect 2-3 hours to install my shortshifter and I was like, "Ummkay" rolleyes Took them 45 minutes. But with this they're just booking the 4.5 hours of labour regardless of how long it actually takes them cause that's what their book says it should take. Stuuuuupid. I didn't really want to spend another $300+ just to have these damn things installed!

hey ev3, as you live in aus. you can get whiteline sway bars...as they are actually made there!! although somewhat back orders at this time... they are 175 for the front and 175 for the rear and are both adjustable!! The site also gives suspension tunning spec for the celica with their suspension
