The cheapest mod ever . I used a 3M furnace air filter to make a cabin air filter, since many of you know, there isn't one. So i'm posting pictures to show off my victory.

Good job. Jot down somewhere the date you put it in. Then look at it now & then and it will remind you to make another one. Really keeps the dust down.

I thought $20 wouldn't be so bad, but I forgot about labor costs. $9.97 at Home Depot. I was horrible trying to cut the chicken wire. Thats why the filter is all lopsided. I had to rip some of it off and stuff it in the holes. Haven't seen any dust yet and my car smells better. I think I might coin the phrase, new filter smell...Or not

so what advantages does it have ? I mean it's not gonna filter out exaust gasses or something so what is it filtering ? I'd tell you you'd get hp gains you wouldn't believe! But i'd be lying. It filters anything like dirt, dust, debri, and dander you'd find on the road (I need an extra d). It really just keeps your car interior from collecting too much dust like on the steering wheel column and dash. It lets clean air in, which is especially good if you have allergies. Robare99, if you have pics of your filter, i'd love to see them. Dual layer sounds overkill. Spaz, I ride open window too sometimes, but somedays I keep the windows up because it takes away the tight sound from my stock sound system. These days I use AC, but the filter still gets use. Home Depot, $9.97 Click here for install guide
