I was just wondering if anybody here ever swapped an injen cai filter with another brand like aem, blitz, and k&n. Is this gonna bring my check engine light on or not? Thanks for your help. Which brand out of the others can be fitted with my heat/water shield?

no CEL should go on.. injen's filter is a K&N. so don't waste your money buying another K&N.

short ram and CAI filters are both conical; i dont see why they would be any different???

but yes, you can swap it out for ANY brand and no it wont bring a CEL. i would suggest doing the blue bomber mod before anything, though. and i would also suggest getting the apex'i power filter; its got the best proven gains. but you'll have to build a custom mount for it.
