Tru, I wish before you make your asshole comments, you would know a person and their attitude. I am not over or under myself. I am extremely easy going. At the moment I am sitting with my feet up on my desk at work, I am very chill and calm. Just because I voice an opinion I am not chill? That is why I say, get over yourself. I have never acted like a perfect angel, not once in my life, nor do I impose that on this message board, if you think that, you need to re-read my posts. And to be honest with you, I have never gotten a ticket since I have been 15 and driving. Not saying that makes me better than anyone else, I am just responsible when I drive. Yes, I have been pulled over but never got a ticket. Maybe its my "chill" aspect that made the cop let me go? If I was all rilled up like you make me look, don't you think I would have gotten a ticket? Uh yeah. This convo.thread was done before you decided to be "big shot" and post your un-needed un-necessary comments. No, the law isn't always right, but there are laws for a reason, if there weren't who knows what the world would be life, perhaps better, perhaps worse. I voiced my opinion, I agreed with the cop and then I get a fuck you and then you coming on here telling me to relax? Realize its a message board before you start telling people they are uptight, un-chill, or whatever clever word you would like to use. Back to sipping on lemonaid with my feet up on desk...ciao~

celicacutie, when you accidently cross a red light or drive over the speed limit, do you pull over and wait for a cop to come by you and give you a ticket? do you call 911 and say "im sorry, i drove 2mph over the speed limit, im here at x and y, send a cop i wanna get a ticket". you would if you did something messed up that you worth it. i dont wanna get a ticket for something i know i did wrong and regret it and never do it again. i learned my lesson, i dont have to pay extra money for BS. you know cops arent the nicest ppl and they mean extra trouble most of the time. ive seen them fuckin up my friends for NO REASON. by saying NO REASON, i mean NOTHING. think of it this way, ur young and you learn from ur mistakes, some ppl are different from others, everyone does crazy stuffs when young.

i got pulled over last week for doing 45 in a 45. the cop asks "do you know why i pulled you over?" man i wanted to fucking let him have it. he says the exhaust and no front license plate. now it seems funny to me that its illegal to modify your exhaust in any way in NY and yet the united states is the only country in the world who wouldn't sign the anti pollution from cars act. Why? because we like V-8 SUV's and suburbans. so why can't my 4 cylinder pollute as much as they can? i think its back assed for them to make some of these laws. just cause he doesn't like hooked up cars i got pulled over... millions of people around here have an exhaust. why doesn't he go into the city and stop some serious crimes?

actually in my old car i was doing 100mph when i was pissed and a cop was sitting in a driveway. by the time he pulled out i was out of sight and doing 120. soon as i went down the hill i pulled into a side street and went far to the east then out of his jurisdiction asap. never got a ticket nor was he close enough to get my license plate...was it worth it? what do you think? i didn't have to pay shit and got the biggest adrenaline rush of my life. granted i didn't drive in that town for another few months, but heh the town sucked anyways...hehehe

Cops have been my latest problem. I think it's the paintjobs fault cops can't resist a red celica. I got tagged at around 1am going from nashville to atlanta doing 98 in a 70. The interstate was dark and empty so I was hitting it at around 105 then my radar went of K-band 5 and i slowed real quick and just pulled over waiting for him. So after he pulled me out of the car he let me go with a $250 ticket. The funny thing was was that not more than 30 minutes later I got pulled over in Atlanta for my window tint (5%) then gave me a brethalizer!!! I mean c'mon now why would I hurt my baby by drinking?

Oh yea then a few weeks ago I was in Miami and there was so much damn traffic on the 395 I decided to take a different way to the beach and blew past a cop doing 95 in a 55. That was a $279 ticket and driving skool. The funny thing was was that he was driving and I didn't even see him until the blue and red started flashing. Oh yea he gave me a brethalizer too. I swear they all must think the only reason I drive that fast is cause i'm drunk. I think i'm just gonna drive slower when no ones on the road.

Just remember, the only thing that limits the power of the law is their ability to enforce it. We could all be living in a policed state that allows no freedom.
Just because they are the law, doesn't make them right. Speeding tickets are BS, charge people who cause accidents not people who don't. Speed does not cause accidents, idiots do. This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard anyone say on a message board. You know what the definition of accident is? besides, aren't threads that have to do with "illegal" things locked by default? Susans just trying to get you shut down. Don't worry about her. Ever since pimpy and the cones thread, you got to watch what you say. Hes saying some police have faults too. They're only ppl, after all, with special priveleges and responsibilities. Which is why you have traffic court to fight it. I don't know about the police state comment. At this point, we are closer to a police state than total anarchy. Both speed and idiots cause accidents . Mostly when those idiots drive fast while intoxicated, but then Mods might try to shut this thread down for talking about drinking and driving. Speeding tickets insure ppl don't drive fast. When you drive fast, your reaction time is slower, the damage is greater, and more ppl are likely to die. Speed limits are posted for a reason . Now if you want to talk about the letter of the law versus the spirit of the law, we can start a new thread and go from there.

Whoa crap, that sucks man.
I ran away from a cop once in my life and it was scary ass hell.
I was driving down a hill and there was nobody around, the speed limit was 25 or something and I was doing 50. I saw a cop heading the other direction but once he saw me, he busted a U turn. My girlfriend told me that he just made a U turn so I took a right onto a shopping mall, parked where there was a lot of people and then went into the mall.
Not sure if he made a U turn to get me or not, but still, it was some scary feeling, hahaha. Bastards with tickets!

...like I noted in my thread, always have the number of a good attorney ready in case you get arrested. don't act like a dumbass child and you won't get arrested I don't condone acting like a "dumbass child". Also I have NEVER been arrested. However, not acting like a "dumbass child" does not guarantee you you will not be arrested. I drive in a sporty manner always in control of my car and I don't go over 5mph the speed limit these days. I can take turns at high speeds because I know how to drive and because my car can handle it. However a cop may interpret my sporty driving as reckless driving which implies I was driving without regard to others and was out of control. This simply would not be true. If I were arrested for reckless driving, I can and would use an attorney to defend my right to drive within the law, but in a sporty manner which a sports car makes possible. Another example: You can be falsely accused because the cops saw another sports car speeding and trying to get away and when they found you of the same color car, they accused you and arrested you. Innocent people get arrested all the time. Whether or not you are innocent, everyone needs an attorney ready. You can accidently hit and kill a child who runs into the street, even though you were not speeding. You can get arrested and then sued for everything you own even if it was not your fault. Yes there are situations when you need to have attorney so it's best to have one ready. You are quite ignorant of the way this world works to thinks it's all bright and beautiful that if you follow the law nothing bad will happen. Well wake up Cutie and embrace the cruel reality we live in, or it will simply fuck you for being unprepared.
I get my kicks on EC.

When I drove through Cali, I noticed how many cops you guys have. I did 10 over & kept it on cruise.
Up here we have hundreds of miles of open highway & very very few cops compared to Cali. I have driven all the way to Windsor (400 miles) with my foot to the floor on several occasions & didn't get a ticket.

Hell I drove from Red Deer to Edmonton doing 150. That's how fast TRAFFIC IN GENERAL was going. They were all doing around 140. Because at 150 there was a group of us and we weren't passing people by much.
