so last saturday night i was leaving from seeing my girl in Long Island NY and got side swiped by some stupid lady in a 2000 explorer. after hitting me she mantained her speed of atleast 50 mph and didn't stop she fled the scene. luckily some kid got her plate number for me. i guess 1 yr ago he got hit by a drunk driver and someone got the plate number for him so he was returning the favor i owe him big. not only did my car get completely messed up but so did my back. here are some pics.
if anyone knows where i can get parts dirt cheap let me know please. i need a passenger front fender, door complete with mirror, rear quarter panel. doesn't matter color nor if has couple scratches. i know the junk yard round here doesn't have any celicas so if anyone could help me out be greatly appreciated.
Search the web for parts and some other celica sites. Some people part their cars out after being wrecked. Sue the bitch. Pain and suffering, fleeing the scene, and monetary damages are all on your side if you got the plate #. Still, I'm sorry to hear about this.
ticketed try there is a thing out for her arrest thats a fellony to leave the scene of an accident. and my insurance said there is bout 6500$ worth of damage and i'm still waitin to hear from the police

thanks guys well i have had my back checked out and i have to contact my lawyer casue it was recommened by my doc. casue i am not letting this go. also according to the kid that grab the plate number he said her explorer was 2x as bad as mine. he said hers was really bad condition and didn't know how she could of taken off.
maybe she was old and didnt notice, hell i was driving in the rain, and this old woman came flying out of the turn, slide all over the place jumped the curb, and just drove away... people were trying to flag her down, but she didnt "notice"

Hey, sorry bout your celi. Trust me, I know just how U feel. Last year I went to HOT Import nights down in Texas with my girl. I had just got my body kit put on and the whole car painted. Well @ the show My girl caught me looking at some girls A$$ there @ the show so she got mad and we had to leave the show eairly. To make a long story short, We left Texas @ about 3 in the morning and she drove cause I refused to (my mistake), There was a storm and she hit A hydroplane in the road which spun us out of controll. When it was all said and done My Fiberglass Body Kit had showed its true colors all over the highway (front, sideskirt, back) not only did te body get damaged, but she also bent my axle and 6 month old rims. Dude, I could have kicked her A$$ that night... Well, about a month later she shows up to my house w/ my car looking like new. and she paid for it all. This year, Hot import Nights was off the Hook in Chicago, IL, and I got to film all the ass I wanted to.. HA HA. Again, Im sorry about your celi. I hope things work out for you.

one time when i was driving it was rainy buckets...to the piont where the rain was just making a mini ocean on the highway and this car came FLYING by me and was literally one inch away from side swiping my car..then proceeded to spin out of control in front of me and wack the guardrails and stop on the other side of the road..so i called 911 then i saw the man get out of his car and asked if he was allright..i'm pretty shaken about this and he asks me to bring him to the nearest payphone...so i say okay..not thinking straight...but the traffic came from nowhere so it was like 30 seconds and i see the cops come..so i snapped out of it and told him okay the cops are here...and he says can you just go? i was like no i'm sorry i can't...so in the end...he stole the car...and i almost helped him get away with it..very close call!

Damn, sorry to hear about what happened, hope ur ok! My car just got hit and run today too, not as bad of a damage though. I know how ya feel, I've had gotten hit and run twice.
Same thing happened to me just over two weeks ago. You might have seen it in the 'disaster' thread. Rather than being swiped from the side though I took a direct hit. And because the drivers seat is on the other side over here I took some of the impact myself. I was going to say its suprising that your window wasn't smashed but then I remembered I smashed mine with my head.
You'll need all the same things replacing as me, new door, rear panel etc. The only advantage you got is that it doesn't look like the chassis is damaged at all. Because of the force at which my car was hit, it bent the side pillar, which meant the sill was pulled up and the roof pulled down slightly.
I know exactly how you're feeling though. I'm still feeling sick. I just realised its exactly two weeks today. Fuck!
Will you get rid of the car if they fix it? I know I'll never look at mine in the same way again.
