Ive hit about 130 - 140 mph. It was bad cause we were going to vegas and a beautiful black 911 porsche wizzes by me like nothing and i was going 80mph! Then he slows down right next to me and steps on the gas again. Then my bro's like "Dude he wants to race you." I said "Yeah Right! THat guy'll smoke me." So the guy slows down again and gets right next to me and then he gives me the hand signal like saying "Go! Go! Go!" SO I step on it. We rolled from 80. I was even for like 4 secs. till he started passing me. I hit all that it can go and he was still going further and further. HE must of been hittin like 170mph. It was P.I.M.P.

145MPH  Took forever to get there though. 5th gear 6th gear tops out at lke 120mph for me.

Yeah, I find passengers distracting, so I have to drive slower and safer. Isn't it amazing that your friends like to push your buttons just when you're driving? Isn't that nice - just when you have their lives in your hands - best time to annoy ya.
Oh, and I think 115 or so in an MR2 Spyder - top down. Just for a sec. No passenger.

gt's are limited to about 140 by gearing, wheel size ext... my freind john (johnsGT) has the SF kit and 17's and he tops out at 140 the car pulls like crazy up to there... but cant go any faster because of the tranny...

How does the tranny limit it? I don't see how a tranny would limit the top speed. I think everyone here who reaches top speed is limited by horsepower only. They are no where near redline when they get to 145MPH in their GTS's.

this weekend I was picking up my bike, went for a ride on a 2004 ZX-12R at over 180mph.
I think we hit indicated 200mph, which is not 200mph, more like 170-180  ... we?, as a passenger ...

If not, you could put on oversized tires & get more. Automatic maybe higher as well.

Fastest I have tried to go was 120, and that was from 80-120 in top gear, so it took a while.
Havn't actually tried to hit top speed since I don't have enough room to do it with.

110 mph on our 2002 Ford SUV going to San Francisco 110 mph on our 95 toyota corolla - it was shaking at first then when I got up to 100 it smooth out. 120-125 on my gt celica on the way home from the 71 fwy with 2 passenger.

I did 110 in my Dodge Shadow Convertible with the top down... no seriously...
Havent quite taken the Celica up that high yet, but I did break 100 on a quick straightaway.
