Yeah. You'd have a thin frame around the plate, with room to make a big fat Carbon Fiber lip below the plate. Havn't got a good picture lying around..Sorry. Just a shot I took of my car this summer (before I got the twin exhaust). Probably doesn't help at all..

Although that item looks to be a simple bolt-on with no room for errors... The trunk handle/garnish is a piece that you will always see whenever at the rear of your car. A piece that if there are ANY imperfections, you will always notice them. Many people are picky about the fitment of parts added - Especially those who show their vehicles or add carbon fiber accessories to them.

The current ones available by just about every company at this time are not perfect - they require adjustments done to fit your particular car. Adjustments to the bolts, sanding adjustments to line up perfectly to the top of your trunk - plus the bolts that attach the piece to your car also need to be solid enough to sustain much force to opening/closing (including slamming) of the trunk.

CarbignCraft has solved all of these issues in their trunk handle/garnish product and will release that item very soon.
