Thanks. No, you're not missing much here. They are still trying to kill us everyday and they are getting better with RPG's and IED's. I have lost a few friends since I have been here and I'm still looking forward to paying them back for that. But I don't really want to talk about all that. This is my one break to get away from all of that and talk about the car that I love so much. Thank you for asking though. I will still answer anyones guestions about this war if anybody has any, but I would rather talk about cars. Thanks for the info on the doors. I think I'll do it.

Damn it people, I don't want to sit here and try to prove to you what I have done to my car. I just want to get your ideas about different mods. I have said many times, I'm stuck in Iraq and don't have pictures with me. Of course I have hundreds of pictures from my car at the shows, but it wasn't much to see last year before I came here. It just looked like a plain, everyday red Celica with a TRD kit and chrome wheels. If you don't even believe I have a car, just ask BATmobile, he was at a show with me.
About beating $100,000 Supras, yes, that is hard to believe. I couldn't believe it myself. But that is one other thing I wanted to tell anybody who is thinking of entering their Celica in a show. Judges seem to love our car. Even though all I had was a TRD kit, cheap sound system, DVD player, chrome wheels, Intake, painted plastics, chrome wheels and 2 nos tanks, I always polished every inch of my car and that's how the judges say I beat them. So enter a show and I bet you get hooked once you get your first trophy.
About the question of me calling them NOS tanks. I have never heard of NOS in pounds. And I have a "NOS" dry kit with NX tanks, just because I got got a good deal on both from a friend.
One minute, I'll be right back to answer the other questions.

Okay, now to the other questions. Yes, it was 5:51 am when I said good night. That's when I get back from from my patrols and go to bed. Don't tell me you guys don't even believe I'm in Iraq. I'm really not here to bullshit you guys. I just want to talk. My family sure as hell don't care to write. I thought I had a Celica family I could talk to but you guys just keep saying bullshit when there is something that sounds fishy.
Anyway, Yes, I have shops install everything and it will take 6 more months to be finished. The friend that is helping me do all this has a shop in Austin. So if you are near Austin and want the best installer in Texas to do your system, check him out at www.bdaudiocreations.com [bdaudiocreations.com] .Check out the RX-7 he did.
iggy. Yes, I have thought about the Delorean door idea. That would be cool, but a little too much work for me. What do think about making a T-top? I thought that would be cool too.
Peterkwon87, the $60,000 includes the car. So it's just under $40,000 in mods. Good stuff is not cheap. For example..$6000 for the Turbo(not including all the extras) and about $7000 for just the system, head unit,3 Zapco amps, Treo sub, 2 sets of Boston mids. Plus another $6000 for the system install and interior molding and painting.

00celica00gt, I wasn't going to talk to you because it sounds like you just like to argue, but yes, I was into cars when I was 10. Helping my uncle with his, long before the import scene took off. Why is THAT hard to believe? Did you think that people didn't start fixing up imports until 10 years ago? We have been fixing up Celicas since they first got here in 1971. No, not me. I was only 3.
JBing, that sucks that you have decided to bash me. I have always liked you car and did want to ask you some things about it. Oh well. There are still some cool people on here that I enjoy talking to.

On the gull wings...A lot of people have brought it up to me, and I think that it would look retarded, if it could be done. There is no frame on the door above the glass, so you'd have to make one beefy piece of steel to obstruct the glass and hold the door. Trust me, they're heavy. Plus, you'd have to figure out where to put the shocks so that the door could still close flush. And I doubt the roof was made to hold that kind of stress. Especially not if you have a sun roof.

Good luck running a Turbo and nitrous, though. I never thought our engine would be up for that. How much boost do you plan to run through that thing?

JBing, a dry NOS system is a simple mod. You just thread your line into the CAI. The trigger is set up on the throttle, which I plan to change to button on the steering wheel. Someone said there is a way to set it up to where the NOS sprays until the Turbo spools up then shuts off. Anybody know how that works? I'm still new to this whole NOS and Turbo stuff.
TrojanUSMC, Yes the Delorean idea probably wouldn't work. We were just trying to think of different things that would be cool or different.
About how much boost to run, that is the question of the day. I would love it if some expert could tell me what our engine can handle once I build the internals. Of course the better way to get that big hp number that I want so bad would be to drop a 3SGTE in, but I just can't see pulling a new engine. Plus my car is not for the drag strip, just shows and taking out for a spin sometimes. So I will see just how much hp our engine will handle.
Best of Show is what I'm going for though. I got Best Toyota or Best Celica at every show I entered in 2003 and that was great, but now it's time to go for top honors and compete against Bob Mull, Jay Laub and Richard Zamora. If you have seen their cars, you know that beating any of them is going to be a damn hard thing to do, but that's what I'm going for. Who do you guys like best out of those three? And wouldn't it be nice to see a Celica beat them?

Wow, sounds like you'll end up in a magazine or two. My goal is to impress at some shows after I get some custom interior work done. Need to find a good shop, first. Maybe even a sponsor grin

Till you figure all that out, keep your head down. Getting shot at isn't a very good time. Lucky for me the Hajis didn't remove very many safety pins rofl

Trojan..your car makes cream my pants...if its ever up for sale..just let me know..i'll buy it in a heartbeat...and for the guy with 60gz in his celica..DAMN...cant wait to see it...I love the celica..because you can design in and toss it in so many directions...comparing mine to trojan, they look like totally different cars...same with pretty much all our celicas..we all have a lot of similar things, but once you see people spending more money on their car...thats when the originality comes out..we all start from a base..but after time...ou true colors show..and i love seeing that...nice job! And that goes for everyone on the site. Alot of quality cars here.

I agree. Ask some family members to take some pics while your in Iraq and send them to your e-mail. I don't see how its that difficult to take pics of your car. I mean i would if i put 60k into it. Has anybody offered to put your car in a magazine yet?

I hope you plan on running some extra fuel pressure or some bigger injectors or something with this dry nitrous system. If you spray a 65 shot w.o. any extra fuel your just asking for tons of detination. This is why everone on this site runs wet kits that are tapped into the fuel system, w. nitrous you need the correct balance between N20 and fuel. All that dry kit is gonna do installed the way you described above is distroy your motor. You ask for help, ditch the dry kit and buy a wet one thumbsup

Thanks TrojanUSMC, but it looks like you're more ready for a magazine than I am right now. I have primer patches everywhere from shaving the door handles and things like that. How have you done at the shows you have been to? It looks like I would have a hard time beating you.
00celica00gt, Once again, the car is not done. If you want to see what it looks like right now, just find a red Celica with a TRD kit and spray patches of primer paint here and there. Then you will know what mine looks like. Just forget about pictures of my car for now. There are plenty of other better looking Celicas for you to look at on here. Like TrojanUSMC, look at his car, nice ain't it? I'm not trying to sound rood, but you just keep going about the pictures. I promise, I'll show you when it's done.

JBing,
Thanks, I am putting 440cc injectors in. That's what the builder recomended and he is the pro, so that's what I'm going with.
As for what's more dangerous, a wet or dry system, I think shooting N20 into your injectors is more dangerous than having it come through the cold air Intake. This is what I was told by the machanic who installed it for me and he has been dealing with N20 on his Supra for many years. Maybe we are wrong though. Are you a machanic? Now I'm curious which is true. What do think guys?
I do want a wet system though. I hate it when people look at it and say "oh, it's JUST a dry system". Plus wet systems look better on the engine.

Yes 00celica00gt. Just some stupid engine work and some stupid interior stuff. You got me. My car is a piece of shit. Sorry I wanted to talk about it.
I can't tell if you are still trying to bust my balls or do you want to talk about something?

you have 2 NX (Nitrous Express) kits spraying NOS? wtf I don't want to be mean or sound like an ass, but anyone who knows enough about motors and car and such to build a custom Turbo wouldn't talk ricer slang like that. thumbsdown ... also you said you have all of that stuff on the car at the start of the thread, then all of a sudden its still being built or still being put in, like the injectors or the n2o? confused I'm just a little confused sorry.

Peterkwon, I just looked at your profile. There must be a mistake there. It says you drive a Sentra. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but these guys are brutal in here. If you say something about a Celica and they see that you drive a Sentra, they might try to rip you apart like some have tried to do to me for not having pictures.
Anyway, I have to go now, but tell me what it means to own somebody, I'm curious. Talk to you tomorrow maybe.

At NOPI, there was a $250,000 Celica. I got 3 pics of it, but they won't be developed for a few days. I got a few other Celica pics as well. It's not difficult to spend all that doh. I wizzed through $8,000 and I ain't got much at all. Plus, if you change your mind, like 2 headunits or 2 body kits, you gotta factor all that in too.

I heard it was closer to $500,000. That was a lot of fabrication they did. Maybe just the swap was $100,000. 497 hp out of a Super Charged 4 banger ain't easy. They doubled the hp output of that motor. Maybe $100,000 worth of parts. Labor... easy to quadruple that. But, maybe I read wrong.

Would it be nice to double our output to 360 hp!

Hmmmm.. 500 crank hp from a 3S is nothing new. It would cost more in the AWD conversion than getting 500hp out of the 3S, *especially if you wanna do it right. Still, I think anything above $100K is ridiculous.

1. Owned

v. owned, 0wned, pwned, 0wn3d, pwn3d, own3d.
v. tr.
To be made a fool of; To make a fool of; To confound or prove wrong; embarrasing someone: Being embarrased.

I owned you in counter-strike. You were owned at the party yesterday.

2. owned

Total and undeniable dominance of a person, group of people or situation as to make them/it akin to ones bitch.

Ha! I own you, bitch!

3. owned

The term "Owned" was originally conjured circa 1986 by a small Canadian Apple II user's group in Langley, BC. Primary usage was similar to current internet vernacular, but was usually restricted to computer hardware and not gaming.

Use was slightly adapted to indicate superiority over another person. Or to declare that said person is merely chattel.

Man, the Apple so owns(owned) the C64!

I *own* people like you!

4. Owned

To be defeated in a computer game, causing the winner's ego to inflate like a party balloon as if such a victory has any tangible significance outside that of his stinking socks-infested dorm room. These people will frequently create animated GIFs of violent sports events where a player gets clobbered by his opponent, complete with blinking neon "PWN3D!" captions, and post them on their blogs to indicate that they should not be messed with.

Person A: Dude, totally like you sooo suck so much, I PWNZ0RED J00!!!!11!!11

Person B: It's a god damned game of rock/paper/scissors, asshole. Please die.

5. Owned

"Owned, resulting back in the Ultima Online days is a word depicing victory over another person or thing. Being passed up into the new generation of games and even in real conversations the word has come a long way since it was started by us old UO boys"

i just owned this forum with the correct definition.

6. owned
something that is urs

man i owned ur ass last night

7. owned

to be dominated by someone or something
often used in conjugation with words such as indoid, hilarious, suckers, ass, sex, quite etc.

that ass did quite get hilariously DOMINATED!!!

8. Owned

1) Generally shouted after you severly humiliate somebody on a video game. Rarely used outside of online games, unless you're a fag.
2) A word that most likely has the most spellings outside of noob.

1) Guess what? You just got owned biatch! w00t OWNAGE grin
2) Pwned, 0wned,owned, 0wnage, pwnage, ownage, 0\/\//\/3|)

9. Owned

Have possession over something or someone.

The New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers owns the Chicago Bears. I own the Bears, they are my b-----s.

10. Owned
click to vote

To woop someones ass horribly in Ultima Online, Counter Strike, or any other random online game.

"Dude you just got owned by that noob ass bitch"
"Fuck you"

^ rofl Hahahahahaaa I remember getting owned in Ultima Online...ah, memories.

Anyways, I don't think how much you spend is what matters. I'm easily nearing $20,000 in what I've spent on my car, but does it look like it? Nooo, not that good. There's a million dollar Civic with some molding, an insane system, and a whole lot of air brush.

The guy is in Iraq, has money, and is having others fix his car up. Not that hard to believe. I wouldn't want to take pictures, either. I might not be so hasty to brag, but to each their own.

Thanks RaptorGTS, TrojanUSMC and Peterkwon87, I apreciate your coments.
TrojanUSMC, you didn't just say that I'm bragging about my car did you? I hope you know that's not what I came here to do. I want to talk about it, not bragg. I don't have much to bragg about yet. The Civic you're talking about, is it the Alpine Civic? I love that car. I asked BDaudiocreations to make mine look like that, but they had to do it for around $6000. He said he was good, but not that good. I was just joking of course.

B Side,
I'm sorry you're confused. I think you misread what I wrote. I have 2 NX tanks and a NOS system. Yes, they are two different brands.
I have a bad habbit of calling "N20" NOS. It's just what we called when I was growing up.
In the beginning of this post, maybe I should have broke my list down into sections...what's on the car...what's comming in the mail...what I ordered but has not been shipped yet...what I have given the builder money to do, but he still has not done it...what's being built right now, but might or might not be done (I don't know because I have not talked to him today yet)...things I told him to order, but he hasn't yet and now I'm thinking of changing my mind to a different brand, but I don't know because the guys on the EverythingCelica Forum just want to bust my balls instead of helping with ideas and opinions about my mods.
I figured braking down my list like that would get a little confusing, so I just asked what you guys think of my list.

Thank you 10celica10, I'm counting the minutes until I can get the hell out of here, but there is a hell of a lot of minutes in a year.
I was wondering if you could help me with something. I have some pictures of the things that were just done to my car in my email, but since I don't know a damn thing about computers, I don't know how to post them. Can you tell me how to do that? I know all you kids are saying "damn, what an idiot", but we didn't have computers in school when I went and I still have not taken the time to learn how to use them. I'm always in my garage working on my car.
I don't know if anybody cares to see the little things that are being done as I get pictures, but I'll put them up anyway if you tell me how. Thanks

Well I kinda feel outta place because I don't have a Celica anymore, but don't let anyone down you because you have high goals for ur Celica, Personally I have high goals for mine, I wanna try and hit 275whp all motor with TPR and my little mod list if ur intrested by chance. I talked to a engine builder and he said more than likely with all the stuff I have listed, I could see n e where 240-260whp with the right internals, and bolt ons...and people say, well what are you gonna do about the camming situation? well what I wanted to do was polish the cams and the Intake Manifold to help, oh yeah and polish and port the head.

Thanks Kenred. You don't ever have to feel out of place here. In my eyes, everybody with a custom import is family. I would give any of you the shirt off my back. Except those that just keep bashing me.
Feel free to come here and talk about your Eclipse anytime. I love the Turbo Eclipse. Who can blame you for getting one. A friend of mine wins Best Eclipse everytime. His car is bad-ass. AWD Turbo, 400 hp, tons of chrome, air-ride, molded Fiberglass everywhere, everything shaved. I'll try to find a picture for you.
So what the hell is that guy talking about, "260hp"? I don't know much about the old Eclipse, but you should be able to hit 400hp as well.
400hp is my goal for my engine. I don't know if that's possible yet, but that's the number I'm after.
I also want to say that anybody with anykind of car can come talk with me. (except mustang and camaro people, those guys usually just want to argue). But anybody else is welcome. The Celica is not the only car I love.

I have to answer one more question before I go. The question was "Why the hell would I spend $60,000 on a Celica".
Well, let me tell you about a young guy named Bob Mull. A few years ago he bought a Cavalier, fixed it up and started winning car shows. Blaupunkt seen his car, liked it and gave him $80,000 to fix it up even more and fill it with their product. Now Blaupunkt pays Bob to travel from show to show. That's what he does now and he is the best there is on the import car show scene today.
I love to enter shows. Just hanging out, talking with other people about our cars, showing mine off, checking theirs out, checking out all the extremely beautiful girls, getting drunk, watching wet t-shirt competitions and hearing my name called for 1st place at the end of the night. Knowing that all the work I did to my car was just a little better than a stadium full of custom cars.
I have heard people say "nice car, beautiful car, bad-ass Celica" a million times and I never get tired of it. Sometimes I just stand there in my garage and look at it, thinking "damn that's a beautiful car, I can't wait to make it even better".
That's why I spend so much. I want my Celica to be the best damn car in the US.
Yes, I know I talk alot. I'm bored without my car here to work on.

I believe bad but would love to see the pics as soon as he gets them. I was in Kuwait for 3 months then Mosul for 4 more months so I can vouch for the extra money he's making and if he's married he's making even more money. thumbsup

Yeah man I know what it's like to be seperated like that...the only thing I looked forward to out there was checking the status on how the lambo door production was coming. It was a long and irritating wait for them but really paid off.

I realize that you're not here to brag but that is what everyone's first impression was. And to answer a previous question; I've never been to a show. I haven't always had the time. That should change when I get out in 8 months.

Type in some text in the reply field then hit the "Attach a picture" button. It will bring you to a preview post screen and you'll see a browse button below and to the right...click that and find the picture you want to attach on your computer. Select it and click open.

Then you'll see the path to the picture typed out to the left of the browse button. Provided that your picture is not too big and is the right format, (*.jpg) it should work. Click "Ok, submit"

haha, thanks man, but the Eclipse has been gone for awhile now, I drive an Explorer Limited, and trying to get rid of it, Im tired of ridin Luxury, I want my light body car again, I miss the 6spd's and the Eclipse...ahhh the Greddy Type S BOV everytime I shifted was a dream and like a organic exprenice grin, but anyways, Im in the market for another car, but just don't know, I wanna do a all motor project, and I was going through a 99-00 Civic Si stage, and I was gonna put a Integra Type R motor in the car, but I backed outta of it because somebody stole my friends Si with a ITR motor in it. Plus everybody and there momma's have Civics and I wanna be different once again, so I believe imma go back to the Celica, and believe it or not, me, and TPR was studying the motors..well believe I knew the guy who started TPR...I found out that the VVTL-i and i-VTEC's are just alike expect one is Computer operated and the other one is Oil operated, that explains why the i-VTEC motors have a better aftermarket support because of Hondata K-pro...so I pretty much studied the motors between the years of there developments, and it's gonna be a close race between the i-VTEC and VVTL-i but more than likely the VVTL-i will over come the i-VTEC but a n/a race. Now my thing is..to find a Spectra Blue GTS Celica more of the 2000-2001 year for madd cheap, because I'm gonna have car payments, and insurance as well, so im buying my Intake, either TRD kit, or get a Blitz front Urethane bumper with Buddy Club sides and rear and just save up another 1500.00 bucks for the down payment and i'll be set to ride. Good luck with everything man, and I'll PM you my all motor list that I was gonna do first before talking to TPR.

Hey Kenred,
Sounds good. I have been wanting to talk to somebody about my engine. That's some interesting information.
So here is a pic of my car. I told everybody it wasn't much to look at right now.
He has the back seat out getting ready to do the system install. He still has to pull those stupid side moldings off.
Well, I have to go. Thanks for the help TrojanUSMC. Later.

Thanks AZZKIKR,
I wish they were ready to show off. But as you can see, he is still in the middle of doing everything. I can't believe I have never noticed your car before. You are the man I need to talk to. Tell me about your engine. How much did you pay for your pistons, rods and valve springs? Did it make a big difference? How much did it cost to install them. I need to know, so when I go have it done I'll have a price to compare to. Where is a good place to get them?
I was getting ready to order my clutch and flywheel from SupraStore.com, is that a good place to order from?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

suprastore is reliable for sure...so is titanmotorsports.com...I've been through their shop and its crazy...yeah, I have the higher compression internals and what not...I bought them from monkeywrenchracing.com, and the engine build cost me about $2,500 here at a race shop in atlanta...I did it basically because I wanted to be able to drive the balls out of my celica and not have to worry about reliability...the pistons are a little noisier because they are forged, but its not entirely noticeable...I'd say the most I got out of the whole thing was about 10 - 15hp...really can't be much more than that...but it does give me piece of mind that I'll be driving it for a long long time...and that is what is important to me. I'm buying the trd japan clutch from trdracing.com and the fidanza flywheel from titan motorsports...anything else you need, just post...oh and where did you get the roll bar done
