Hello everybody,
My Celica is almost done. I have finally decided that I want a BRS hood. Can somebody please tell me where to find one. I will buy you a new hood if you have a BRS to sell. Yes, I have over $60,000 into my Celica. It's getting a new system right now. I'll post pics as soon as it's done. The topic name ($60,000 Celica) was just to get your attention. Thank you

Hey BATmobile,
Good to hear from you. I have been wanting to talk to ever since we were at that show in San Antonio. Mine was the red Celica with chrome rims. Anyway, I had to look at our score sheets because I have never been beat and wanted to see how you did it. Well, there was a mistake and you have my trophy. Sorry. You do have a very nice Celica though. I wanted to ask you how much you paid for your side scoops? I live in Killeen by the way. I look forward to seeing you at the shows again next year if I make it back from this damn war in Iraq. Talk to you later.

What? There was only 4 of Celica's there and I was 2 cars down from you. I helped you put up your shade cover. It was the Bad Boy audio show.

Hey, now you remember me huh? Sorry I told you about the mix up in trophies. Now that I think about it, I should have kept that to myself. I'm sure you would have got first if you could have got your hood up. Yes, mine was pretty stock back then. I would tell you what all I have done to it since then, but then I would get a bunch of people calling bull... and wanting to see pictures and I don't have any yet. All the work is still being done at a shop in Austin. So far it's just stuff like a custom Turbo kit, custom Intake manifold, some engine chrome, seats, roll bar, 7000 watt zapco system and a bunch of other stuff I don't want to bore you with. Most of the money will go to the interior for now since I found a guy who is so damn good at that stuff. I want him to work his magic on the whole interior. How about you? What have you done? I will see you at the shows next year, won't I? There is not enough of us. I love it when other Celicas show up.

Thanks BATmobile. I don't know why you did that, I loved the exterior of your car, but okay, can't wait to see it. And yes, you will have a good chance to beat me. Anybody can win at anytime. Look at all the $100,000 supra owners I pissed off by beating them with my almost stock Celica. I asked the judges how the hell I beat them and they just said because mine was cleaner. So there you go, catch me at a show when I am too lazy to polish the whole damn car and you got me.
Well, time for me to go patrol the streets of Iraq. Talk to you later.

I find it very hard to believe you have that much into your car. The only thing i could think of that could cost a lot is Turbo and an entire custom interior. Body kits arn't to expensive, like $1500 including install and paint. You know the rule dude, no pics means you don't got shit.

I replied to your email about this last night

BRS discontinued manufacturing this hood in November 2003 - the only company that ever sold this hood was us, EverythingCelica. About the only way to obtain this hood now, would be to either find one used or just custom fabricate one yourself.

If you have $60,000 to spend on an ECONOMY vehicle, mostly driven by middle-class-income people -- you probably wouldn't be asking about where to buy one of these hoods. It would be more realistic that you would just fabricate your own for under $1,000. It really isn't that difficult to do -- just involves getting a basic $300 OEM hood and installing NACA ducts to it.

Sorry if i am coming off in a wrong way to your questions, but if anything, I hope you will gain some ideas of how to better reach the hood-goal you have set for yourself thumbsup

look how he doesn't tell his age in his info. He has gotta be like 16 and watched fast and furious one to many times. If you have 60k to spend on any car you are making some good income. I mean you gotta be making like over 200k to have that kind of money to blow off.

Isaac,
Thank you for your responce to my email. I did get it, I just came here to try and find a used one. Looks like I might have to fabricate one instead.
Anyway, there are some very funny people on here. I really liked that comment from 00celica00gt. He said I'm probably 16 and watched fast and furious to much. Man I laughed my butt off when I read that. I'm 36 and I have been into custom imports for about 25 years. I'm not rich. I'm in the Army. I have spent all my extra money on this car for the past 3 years because I love to win car shows. I can't post pics because the car is in the middle of being redone again and I am stuck here in Iraq for a year. I knew I should have never said anything about the price of my car. My fault.

I can't wait to see your 60K Celica, I have a friend in CA that has 40K into his Supra plus the price of the car. I think he is nuts but he sells cars, so he makes good money. thumbsup

Moneys not a value if you love your hobby. I know lots of guys that blow money out on their show cars and street cars where I work. Some drive insane cars worth over millions. One guy I know during our project shoots has his personal mechanic drive with him everywhere when his Enzo is on the streets now that's crazy you may think. I think it's cool. Nothing wrong with putting your money in what you love to do the most. Anyway yeah the BRS hood is a nice hood my team member owns one it's really clean. Anyway post some pics of your ride when you have the time hope you take home at the shows. thumbsup

Hey SkyhighRedline and iggy,
Thanks. I was just about to close out of here and never come back. You guys just made my day by saying something other than bull... I don't know why people don't believe you just because you don't have pictures. If you tell me you have something, I'll say "cool" and talk to you about it. So let me tell you what I have done and you guys give me your opinion. So far I have a custom Turbo kit with a Precision Turbo, HKS BOV, Apex n1 exhaust, 3" pipes all the way back, Chrome GT spark plug cover, chrome resevor caps, painted plastics, Greddy oil catch can, 440cc injectors, downpipe, two 10gal NX tanks, two NX remote bottle openers, 65 shot of NOS, Progress springs, AEM big brake kit, Corbeau A4 seats, Momo commando steering wheel, Autometer gauges, PS2, DVD, Alpine head unit, one Zapco 9.0 going to an 18" Treo sub, two Zapco 3.0's going to two Boston Accuistic component sets, two SPL caps, two red top batteries in the trunk, chrome roll bar, amp rack and nos tanks held by chrome bars, molded Fiberglass sub box in place of back seat, painted dash, all interior plastics painted, Corbeau 4 point seat belts, TRD shift knob, pedal covers, 13 interior neons, underbody neons, shaved door handles, TRD body kit and wing, clear corners, 17" motegi 5 star chrome wheels, Falken tires, window tint, Polished brake drums and that's about it.
The next project is to build the internals of the engine and change the body kit to a GT 300. So what do you guys think? What's good, what's bad, what would you change? Alot of this is still being done. Like the Turbo kit is still being built right now. I can't decide to take the builders advise and go with the Precision Turbo or go with something better known like Greddy, HKS, Garret or Turbonetics.

Can you tell me about your lambo doors? I can't decide if I should get them. Are they hard to line up when you close them? Is it hard to get into your car? Have you ever seen anybody with powered lambo doors?

I've been on a med. float and to Kandahar, Afghanistan...not Iraq though. From what my boys tell me I'm not missing much. tongue

But yeah, I got the lambos from c2power.com. They had a group buy for their first model that I got in on. Did the install myself and they open and close nicely. You just have to do all the aligning with someone's help to hold it up so that it will close correctly. Time and patience! Well worth the effort!

And no, I've never seen anyone else's lambo doors in person, let alone powered ones...

I just know one thing so far, I love the wide body kit, and if I could find a way to make my doors open like a DeLOREAN DMC , that would be sick I think.

I'm sure it could be done, but that would require one hell of a mod and tons of cash. So far your car sounds like it rocks, but as you know a pic if worth a thousand words. What kind of ETA until you have a working model so to speak?

It just sounds fishy cause you like bragging out your car. I mean why would you name the topic $60,000 Celica? Your asking for trouble there. We look at that and are like wow this guy has gotta have a nice car. And then there isn't any pics. And you have been into imports for 25 years? Your 36 dude, so when you were like 10 years old? they really haven't gotten into the scene till about 10-12 years ago. You don't have just one pic of your car? From all the shows you have been to, you don't have any pics? Thats kind of odd. Most people take pics of thier cars at shows. Just one pic is fine. sounds like you don't have a celica anymore. It's all custom.

If you had that kind of money into an import and knew anthing about nitrous, you'd know that the bottles are measured in pounds and not gallons ohboy + anyone who has worked w. or uses Nitrous Oxide or N20 refers to it as that. People who have no idea what their talking about refer to it as NOS<-- esp the ppl who have NX kits ohboy

I don't doubt the amount of money people put into their cars, it's very easy to do so. The only b.s. part I was talking about was a nearly stock Celica beating a $100 000 Supra in a show.

The 10 gallon of nitrous thing.. it makes me think of this video I downloaded today about this really stupid young girl who had a MKIV Supra that was NA and had one Turbo added to it and she said it was twin Turbo, that she was going to add another so she had "tri-turbo" and that she had 20 gallons if "NOS" and she got a lot of things under the hood mixed up.. I think she said the air-intake was a Turbo and that the oil-line was her NOS. It was awful.
