I know that I mentioned that I would have it installed last weekend but UPS took a little longer than expected. So, here is how my install went. Please wait till I post all the pictures before posting your comments.

Okay, I'm DONE. What do you guys think?

I also got some videos that I will upload later but they came up kinda crappy because my bro couldnt hold the camera very still and it was a really bumpy ride going about 100 on a 35. grin

ya looks good, did you just take out the key opener in the trunk and put this thing in? how did you wire it, the wires in the kit look pretty short

by the way how much was that camera? i think i would want one of those on the front, so i dont bump my front bumper into stuff that much...

very nice - now try to fab a hood between the lens and hatch handle so you don't get the inner silhouette on the video feed...

Yeah, I removed the trunk lock assembly because I simply dont use it since I have remote entry. Removing the trunk lock assembly is a piece of cake. No tools are required, all you need to do is push up on that little BROWN plastic clip with your fingers and the whole assembly comes off. I attached a picture below for viewing purposes.

Yeah, the wires are pretty short but all I did was purchase longer wire from my local RadioShack for about $5 for 20 feet. I only really used was about 3 feet because I wired the 12v to my AMP that is already located in my trunk and I just grounded the BLACK wire to the nearest screw.

I purchased the cam for $169.45 shipped from SavingLots. Check it out...

ha ha, cool idea, but since you can already see out the back with the rear view mirror, the camera would have to have night vision and crazy zoom to make it worthwhile...then you could really say,"i can see the cops from a mile away" rofl

Actually, the camera has a built in light that turns on as soon as it senses darkness and works visa versa in the morning, sort of like an auto dimmer. It works GREAT in the mornings especially today because its really sunny out. I mean the quality isnt the greatest at night but you could definitely see everything behind you. Ill take some pictures for you tonight.

Well, I got the DHA-S680 DVD Changer as my main video source, the Rearview Cam as my 2nd option and I'm thinking of an XBOX or a PS2 as my 3rd or maybe a Navi but they are really expensive.

I got my JDM headlights about a year ago from a shop around my area called Cartunes. I really thought a lot about getting them for awhile because of all the bad things I heard about them, the main thing being that they beam right at the opposite direction \ \ instead of away / /. However, one day I stopped by their shop and they had them on display and I fell in luv as soon as I saw them. The owner of the shop sold them to me for about $200 because the left headlights housing was cracked right where they get bolted on but I fixed it with some crazy glue and its been holding on ever since, its been about a year now. I guess I got really lucky because I heard they run for about $200 each or even more. As for the adjusting, to tell you the truth, I didnt. They make it seem really bad but it really isnt. If anything I think they beam up instead of the opposite direction but again its nothing that will cause you to get a ticket or at least I havent yet.
