I found this and I was looking at it seems like a pretty good deal but I have to call yet to ask some things this would be for my first car! But in order to get it I need to sell my fourwheeler which is for sale so it says "HWY MILES" what does that exactly mean? low miles? high miles? Heres the link to it give me your opinions! 2000 Toyota Celica GTS [ autotrader.com] Also, If anyone has carfax or anything can you check out the vechile history for this! It would be greatly apprectiated and send it to me or post it! Thanks

I guess it means Highway Miles. Less stressful on the engine than stop-start city driving..

The fact that the ad does not specify vehicle mileage would concern the hell out of me, "highway" or not. I can't imagine what the seller was thinking in NOT posting the mileage. Highway miles simply denote that the owner alleges the car was not subject to a lot of stop and go city driving, which is more wear on engine components, clutch, brakes, etc. Go to kbb.com and load in the data for the vehicle shown. You can play with the mileage to see how many miles would calculate the $9000 price. THEN contact the owner if it seems fair.

Ive seen a lot of as that state "highway miles" this throws up a red flag. for the simple reason that most of the celicas that ive seen with the list "highway miles" where near the 100k to 200k mile range. take a look at the odometer. even though it says highway miles its still a lot of stress on the motor.

If you want the milage just call the owner. They will tell you. If its low enough where you want to continue go test drive it. If its super high and you dont want it then pass it up.
