Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior looking for those 'springs' that hold up your hood for shows

Alright, silly question, try not to laugh too hard but I'm looking for some of those "springs" that people use to hold up their hood halfway - this is done at car shows.

People don't want to use the stock hood-stand so they can show off part of their hood and part of the engine bay, so they usually use something to prop the hood up halfway - and mainly I see people use these big springs, sometimes painted the same color as their car.

Anyone know where I can find these, LOL don't be hatin a playa

I thought those were just usually regular car springs. Like aftermake ones (Sportsline, Ground Control, etc.)

most people take their stock springs after they lower a car and paint em. sometimes they get cheap aftermarket springs for it too.
