and all this time I thought FOG LIGHTS were for when you need the immediate road in front of you illuminated - because the HIGH and LOW beams illuminate the signs and forward driving path ahead of you - and are not intended to be focused primarily onto the road (such correctly aligned fog lamps are designed to do).

Using fog lights to warn other drivers of you being on the roads, blinds those oncoming drivers... this is a bad thing wave

They are called FOG LIGHTS ... not DRIVING LIGHTS wave
