...IN MY GARAGE!!!! BUAWHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!!

Here are some pics. The thing supposidly adds 5hp in the low end, and 8hp peak in the High end, and never loses HP. However, I have no idea if this is true or not. Anyways, here are pics. This thing is SO sexy in person. I won't be able to post dynos for awhile... I hope these pics will hold you over!

I have no idea how much it is worth...I know it is a custom fabricated part. However, in my opinion, it is only worth anything if it makes HP!!. I would think that it does though... Equal length runners...AWESOME quality, and built by one of the leading race car fabricators in the US. I CAN'T WAIT TO PUT IT ON!!!!

did you pay anything for that? I called that shop about it since they mention it on their website. Did you speak to Culver? Is that the same design as before (6 mos back) or a new design?

This might be the same design...not sure.. This is there test header I believe. thumbsup

I had seen it on there website before, but it looks like they updated it and it is no longer on there. confused
I paid...well Lets just say less than the price of a DC header. thumbsup

if it gives more gains than the DC, I'd say it's a good deal. Was that a special price for you, or can anyone get that price?

Well, It was an EBAY price. No one bid because no one knew what it was...or something. I am pretty sure if someone wanted another one it would cost ALOT more. Last company I talked to that custom fabricated a header for our car charged $1k to build em. thumbsup

interesting...I wonder why it ended up on ebay. It came direct from GT Fabrications right and not a private seller?

Yes, directly. I have the shipping label and everything. All of the e-mails were straight from GT Fabrications as well...

i had my custom exhaust done there. they were really professional and nice, even though i kinda stayed and bugged them during the fabrication.

Anyways, I think it is badass! I love it and I havn't even installed it yet! If it doesn't work for adding HP then I will pull it off, use the runners, and make it a 4-2-1 race header and see how that works! The way I see it, the bulk of the work is already done for me! thumbsup

Lol are you MOCKING ME! angry

Just kidding. Why wouldn't it work? Hmm? I would just cut off the flange that is on there now... weld on some Y pipes, and make it bolt up to the exhaust system. I suppose I might need to back track up the piping an inch or to so I could have a strait flow to work with. I suppose you would know if this would work or not. You are SUPPOSED to be prototyping a race header! GET ON IT! thumbsup

On a side note, what is it with members on this site stomping on other peeps ideas! WHERE IS THE LOVE! Holy shit. I am getting so sick and tired of it. I am not speaking of Easy C, but some guy that said "I THINK YOU WATED YOUR MONEY!" What a deuche bag...

well think of it this way my man, if it dont make much power the way it is, what makes you think that by extending the secondaries will improve the primaries gas flow? Im not bashing your idea or anything. But designing a race header takes research and such. lol i should know haha.

but hey, go for it man, if you make power that will be awesome!

Well, from what I have noticed, Celica headers all make power in the low end. The problem is the high end in lift. I have come to the conclusion that it must be the divider. Too much turbulence in the chamber and the gases can't pass though efficiently enough. I mean, the only reson that divider is there is to simulate a 4-2-1 design. I think, that if one were just to extend that flange even 3 inches so that the gases could pick up speed...it would do the trick.

Have you proto-typed your header yet? Dyno'd? Have you run into any problems?

I don't even know if it will lose power yet, gain power, or just stay like stock. What I am saying is, if the header doesn't build more than a DC header than it is worthless in it's current form! I paid next to nothing for it...why not try to modify it to make it work? Thanks for the feedback though easy_C! thumbsup

The header is currently being prototyped. We researched piping sizes/lengths and their respective gains on N/A 4 bangers before we designed a prototype. For high end, you want longer primaries. What size secondaries are you goin to use and are you goin to have them all collect into a 2.5 inch collector or a 2.25 inch? The only other problem i can see is getting it to fit with the stock mid pipe. Our header comes with a replacement mid pipe (bumped up to 2.5" with a higher flowing yet still legal CAT).

But i will be sure to post a thread about my impressions of the first prototype header.

I was thinking about just adding a mid pipe as well. I was also thinking DEFINATELY a 2.5" Although our engines are a 1.8 I think just because of the lift engagement I want 2.5... Esecially when my exhaust is 2.5. That way I can keep a constant backpressure. I was also thinking about NO cat! I live in Idaho. We have no emmisions testing! thumbsup

good good man, you will def see some high end gains from the mid pipe alone! Mine is 2.5 as well. I can't wait to pass that 200 whp mark

TELL ME ABOUT IT! Holy crap! I am gonna go for it with the Power FC...and all my other boltons. Only time will tell what I need. The cool thing is, now I have a second vehicle (Badass Suzuki Samurai with a 4' lift, weber carb, 3foot travel shocks...etc...) So, I can tinker on my car and still be able to places... well actually I can go anywhere now! thumbsup
