Well with the celica, the turn signals are bulbs. in the tC they are LED's so it was really easy. But I just so happen to have a link to a little kit with instructions for ya...

it looks much better than the amber, can't wait to get the rest of the lighting blue in there

and yes, the needles were definately a tedious job, if you don't know what you are doing, you will most likely break something.

looks good man, If I HAD to drive a scion, I'd definitely pick the tC...

But I don't know why so many people likes the whole monochrome gauge thing. I would've kept the needle orange, or at least paint it flouecent red, that way there's some contrast there and you can clearly read the gauge. Having it monochrome will have you double checking when you read your gauges, so that's less time your eyes are on the road. Personaly, I prefer the ability to check my gauges at a glance, which is why I hate the celica's factory gauges, it's monochrome at night, and it's not as easy to tell where the neddle is at like on my Vac gauge (which has a blue indiglo face and a bright orange needle)

I will probably keep the amber lighting, and match everything else to it eventually, but I will probably change the needle color to make it easier to read as well; probably make them all bright red.

For the same reason that the most picked color for people's favorite color is blue...I dunno i read somewhere it's something to do with the wavelength of blue light does something to our eye or receptors into our brain that we like...I dunno...ok i give up nevermind. spineyes

rave669 - he is going to paint the needles blue so he can see them. if he left them orange, the blue LED"s that light it up would mix with the orange and it would look weird...if he painted them red, same thing.
the needles are lit by the LEDs that light the face remember.
and whoever asked if they had to be soldered, yes they do, it's the same thing as the celica.
