Okay, i am going to get the alpine iva-d300 for my car, but i need recommendations on what speakers, amp, and subwoofer to buy!

I am looking for a system that can make a great quality in sound whenever i watch a movie or video, and when i listen to radio and cd's.

Also, what could be a great place to install the amp, and the subwoofer?, i would like to still use the trunk because i used it very often

Here is a link of the specs of the headunit:

Help me here guys, i am thinking of doing this in the next couple of weeks

Thanks

I'm partial to JL Audio, however it really depends on you...

get components in the front, coax in the rear, and at least one good sub mounted in the trunk - all powered by their respective amps. Either a 300/4 and 1000/1 or (2) 300/2 and a 1000/1 will do nicely

JL XR 650-CSi components
JL 12w7 sub

... mount the amps on the back of your rear seats if you'd like to conserve trunk space

how many amps i should get?, are you saying that i need 3 amps?

If i install them in the back seat in order to conserve the trunk, will i have space to install in the future the TRD rear strut bar that goes in the trunk?

No you only need 2 amps for a great stereo, technically you could use your decks power to make the speakers work.

if youre getten a tbar better find a slim amp:) or you can go ghetto style and mount the amp to the sub box thumbsup

But ive tried to mount the amps under the seats, doesnt work frown

also in my opinion you need a power capacitor so you dont hurt your alternator and your lights wont dim.

okay guys, since i am new with all this thing about audio and video system, sorry for the questions.

what is and what is the purpose of a capacitor? where do i install this thing?

Also, what is the difference between components speakers and 3 way or 4 way??

I am not going to do this by my self, i am going to take the car to a shop, but i would like to know before i do this, what others celica owners have in their cars that works great, so i don't fuck nothing in my car.

Thanks !

a capacitor is a device that stores power from your battery so when your system hits it doesnt pull or drain power from your battery, if you install one you will see a tighter response from your subs because the amp is fully powered.

yea i recommend the rockford p2 12's as 10celica10 said. i just got two fo them and with the rockford t5002 power series amp it hits hard. also have the new rockford ported box thumbsup

do not go with any entry level equipment you'll be dissappointed
