Very nice Viper. I could show you the trunk if I was a member on CarandModel.com, but there is just as much Carbon Fiber in the back as there is in front.
Which leads me to my next question for Jamey. Scott beat Mull and Laub. Mull beats Laub all the time, but in HIN Miami, Dec 11th, Laub beat Scott. Do you know how this happened? Scott doesn't seem like the type who would show up with a dirty car or anything and I didn't see anything new on Laub's car. Seems Laub wins when HIN is in his home town. No?
Here is Laub's car for those that don't know.

One more question. Brian Hill has one of the best Toyotas I have ever seen. Can you tell me why he never does that well at shows? Seems like he has what it takes to win. What is he lacking?

Not sure when Jamey will be back over here, but if anybody else has more questions, I would like to try and answer them. Gives me something to do. I will research your question before I answer it.

Are there any points awarded for style? It seems everyone at these shows are always so out there and wild. But what about classy-ness? Thats what I plan on doing for my tC ... I want to give a luxurious look but still have it tricked out to hell and back if that makes sense. So are there any points awarded for that? check out Minho Kim's 350Z in import tuner - he wins at shows all the time. His ride may be an example of the clean style you're looking for.

I have a question jamey. Is it necessary to have all audio/video components matching brands? Will points be docked for non-matching. Cuz I will be doing a fiberglass interior setup with my hu being Kenwood, My subs and amps Kicker And mids/highs Focal. I would atleast match the speakers but I dont like Kickers mid/high speakers. Focal are much better for sq events. Thanks!

okay jamey.. i have a question...
i'm a girl, right.. so if i dress all slutty and stand next to my car at shows that'll get me extra points, right? haha
just kidding... but for real.. right now as my car sits i have a part veilside part blitz kit with molded fender flares.. 17" adr rims.. dual exhaust... i have new mirrors i haven't put on yet... you can kinda see everything from the pictures in my profile... what else would you suggest i do to max out the points for body styling... i plan to someday get air ride (cause the roads around here suck... so i'm not lowering it till i can raise it again) but until then my car's gonna look weird with that wheel gap... i just feel like there's something missing... oh and i wanted lambo doors but that went out the window when i figured out you can't install them when your fenders are already molded right to the car...
and with my interior.. everything is stock except i have white gauges... what would gain some points without going too outrageous... (i don't really want to paint my dash or anything... i kinda like how it looks now... but if i must i was thinking about doing the plastics white with a blue stripe thing going through them kinda like the outside paint job... what do you think?)

oh yeah... i forgot about my hood spoilers and roof spoiler too... and my tires have blue stripes (kinda matches the paint stripes) it's so funny with the hood spoilers... no one around here has ever seen them before... the older folk keep telling me my car looks like a spaceship

wow, i've never really browsed all the forums before and now that i am, its really kewl and seeing this thread is great, Im also into the shows and stuff, well actually i just started recently, i was at the last show H.I.D in san mateo and it was kewl but from being apart of the show, i've notice that there is SO much compition and seeing my car, it motivates me to try harder and do more to my car but then again, it just takes so much time and $$$ , i guess by having alotta patience, it'll be done. From seeing everyones car, i feel mines is still so plain. but for everyone else.. nice job on ur cars

Oh okay. How was it? The first mean Streets is a Best Toyota win that I am very proud of because of how nice all the Supras were that I beat. Fun little show. Did you go to the first one in 2003?

No problem TimO, I'll find some good ones somehow.
I think I know the answers to Live42day's and celikitten's questions, but since they asked for Jamey right after I said that I would like to try and answer any questions, then Jamey could just correct me if I get them wrong, I'm not sure if they would rather just wait for Jamey to answer them.

Here is Laub's car for those that don't know. I don't really know the answer to this question either. I only do the east coast shows north of the carolina's. Laub had to have something done differently to his car or cleaned from top to bottom. One of laub's downfall is that his car is dirty as a lot of shows which hurts him when fellow elite competeitors are competing against him. Don't know if that is why or not... I will e-mail a judge from that area and see if i can get a better answer for you

Naw you will be fine, now if you had a 12" Kicker and a 12" Kenwood sub in the same enclosure then yeah we would dock points, but in your case you will be alright

Uhm what about a wing? or are you wingless?? Carbon Fiber hood??? How about some type of vinyl or airbrushing on the sides..you could get a pearl or flake added to the base white color... and with my interior.. everything is stock except i have white gauges... what would gain some points without going too outrageous... (i don't really want to paint my dash or anything... i kinda like how it looks now... but if i must i was thinking about doing the plastics white with a blue stripe thing going through them kinda like the outside paint job... what do you think?) well painting your dash and components will net you some points but you could go with some racing seats, some gauges, shit knob/ebrake knob, just little things like that will help you out a lot

Thanks celikitten, I agree with what Jamey told you. The only thing different I was going to tell you is that most of your points will come from engine mods and body mods and since your body already looks good, I would say to do some engine dress up next. That's all.

Hey, I got a question. just curious, does age count against a car in a show??? Or since it's older and no parts are really made for it, making everything custom, would that help vs a newer car where you can find virtually anything aftermarket for them???
