ummm, well pluto from nc.org did it and he had a list for all the parts that he needed and stuff. i think the total for the tranny swap was bout 3k for parts and labor. cause auto has different tranny brackets than manual

Get ready to deal with some problems though, swapping a transmission is probably going to give ou some headaches (maintanence) down the road.

ok first of all. I have automatic gts And second, please don't reply unless if you know something. i'm not just talking about one individual, but for a lot of people. To change from auto to manual is pain, money, time, and labor. If you really want to save some money, go look for used gts tranny, you will find them from parts websites. Which gonna cost you around 1000 for everything(including ecu, shifter, tranny, pedal, clutch, etc) so you are basically looking at around 500-1000 bucks for labor. So around 2000 bucks or less. But remember one more thing, your car will run like crap after the swap. It won't be like factory, there will be rattling, maybe stiff shifter, and other minor problem. see. for me im just waiting for the prices to go down for manual tranny. But i probably will change my tranny in like 3 or 4 years. Then it will be much cheaper and parts will be all over the place.
