Just got my Greddy Evo 2 installed. I wasn't terribly impressed with the fitment of the system, but after i got it in it looked real nice. sounds good, but it isn't as loud as i thought it would be. gotta love that burning new exhaust smell! 4 pics to post, hold up.

I love that exhaust. Its on my list of upcoming mods. You weren't impressed with the fitment because it doesn't line up very well with the back bumper cutout, or was it something else?

I'm torn whether to get the Evo2 or the TRD Exhaust...hmm, wish I could hear both. Has anyone here had both, and can tell how they compare in terms of sound & power gains?

i put it in myself, but i had a little problem trying to get the rubber hangers to line back up. i like it, it started off real quite, but i drove it around and now it is getting pretty loud. i think i paid right around 525 + shipping. i haven't noticed a huge in the low end performace, but i have notice a huge difference in 4th and 5th gear, it's a lot easier to speed up.

yea i had to do the same thing, adjust the rubber hangers. Where did you get your exhaust from? I paid $500 shipped from suprastore.com

I got the EVO II exhaust and i liked it and all but i wanted more tone. So i had them cut out that big ass muffler under the car. Now I LOVE the way my car sounds. Everyone that hears it thinks its perfect not to ricy but enough tone to make the car sound hella mean.

TPR sucks... Friggin takes forever to get the parts if you can get them. They changed their damn intakes to plastic and they keep saying stuff will be out but it never comes out. frustraiting. Trust me guys for the gains this stuff gets on our cars its not worth the trouble.

see, i didn't really want a loud exhaust, but i did want the gains. this is quite... a little quieter than expected, but its ok with me. the gains are great! its getting louder slowly, like it is breaking in slowly.

ok, so i was thinking. i don't like the idea of cutting the resonator out without being able to put it back if i don't like it. what do you guys think of having a shop cut it out and weld a flange on either side, and then construct a pipe with flanges on the sides to replace it. that way i could change it out whenever i wanted to. something like this:

I think you can just take out the whole resonator and tell the shop to make you a whole new pipe

personally I think loud exausts are stupid. If your car isnt faster then a porshe or a ferrari, then why whould you need to be louder then one. Allow me to quote Paul Tracy "when I'm driving arround, I get challenges to race from kids with loud cars that don't go anywhere"

I agree with this - that is why i am wondering if i can get a shop to build a pipe that can be removed if i feel it is too loud. that way if im in the mood for loud exhaust i can get it, but if not then i can just put the resonator back.

heres a clip of when i had it removed. I dont think it was really broken in yet beacuse now that ive had it for a while its gotten lower and deeper, but you will get the idea. The sound quality of the video is not that great.

Yea it sounds like a good idea to me, if you wanna remove it sometimes, but once it breaks in its not really that loud where you might wanna chnage it. Mine has gotten a lil quiter and deeper since i took that video
