... damn i am looking for a new car probably June of 2006... or i am going to stick with the jetta and mod it up since after the break in and my slid into a curb... a lot of money has been sunk into my car.. and my mom before i owned it got into an accident so a lot of that car is 1 and half years old or newer, so i figure supercharge her for some nice 150WHP from my stock 95WHP, give it a nice body kit, drop it and magnaflow exhaust and by that time it will proably be around July of 2006...

but why mod it when you could save that money for the next car you get or even pay for the next car?

because in the last month i just put $6000 into the car (break in and curb) and i figure going to college i need a larger car that will hold up and the jetta does it for me... plus I just talked to my parents about selling my car in that time frame and they were like.. ya in your dreams chill with the jetta for 3 years at least.. so i have another 3 years

VSGTS14, have you ever thought about getting a 350Z or G35 Coupe? They look much better than the STI. And, all three cars are in the same price range.

anyways billy. Do what you want! If i knew anyone looking for a celica i would direct them to you right away. You took great care of your car and it looks awesome. I personally would take a STi over a celica. The STi looks may not compare but its def. more moddable and faster. Good luck bro

this was the only comment about billy bein a rich kid before he got mad... and then erick i think was the only other person to make a comment AFTER billy said that he didn't like him... so that was probably just to spite him... truth is... billy IS a rich kid... i was too... my dad bought my first car... people are always gonna give you crap about it... you just have to get over it...

so my point was... billy i could understand you getting mad at the above comment if he had said "why don't you have your daddy buy you a car since he buys you everything else"... but he said "since you're one of those rich kids" which is true... but yes a LITTLE disrespectful.. but to those that aren't "rich kids" they don't understand that comments like that could offend someone... so those are the comments you have to brush off your shoulder... but it's all good anyways cause a couple of posts down you said you overreacted... so i don't know why people are still commenting on it...

I think if a parent loves their child enough & the child has been a blessing to them then they look to reward them with nice things if they can afford it. I would do the same thing

it didnt hit a nerve but i get it a lot where i work. where i go to school its common to see BRAND NEW BMW, Lexus, Infinity and nice stuff like that. The town i work in though is completely different. People ther are always like rich boy and mommy and daddy bought you this and that. I just hate it...people need to get over it

yeah basically there's advantages and disadvantages to rich kids poor kids...

obviously an advantage to being a "rich" kid is you get some cool stuff given to you... but the disadvantage would be that you have to go the rest of your life hearing "ohhhh did your mommy and daddy buy that fooor yoooouuuu" which nobody likes to hear... and sometimes people hate you because you get things handed to you... and i don't know anyone who likes to be hated..

and an advantage to being a "poor" kid is you know the value of a dollar... you have that feeling of accomplishment that you worked for everything you own... and you're proud... disadvantage... not so many gifts... which results in anger towards the "rich" kids

i know the value of a dollar...i have to pay for basically everything. people just judge you by the stuff you have regardless if you payed for it or not. but i dont care...i just ignore them

take me and my cousins for instance... up until the age of 18.. i didn't have to pay for anything... i didn't work... my dad gave me my car... paid for my insurance and all maintanance (course he has his own body shop)... my cousins didn't have a car until they were out of high school... they got to borrow their parent's car every once in a while... and their parents never gave them any money without them having to pay it back... they had to "apply" for loans from their dad...

so now... comparing me and them... they know how to manage their money better than i do... that's just how it goes... i'm sure not all people are the same... but i'm giving my situation as an example
