... and I'm pissed!!

I'm really excited that I finally have a Celica, and I had so many plans to save my money and mod it out myself.. my first real project car. I've had it for a month, and my fiance keeps saying I need to sell it and that a Celica isn't worth modding out. he wants a mustang GT. if he wants a stang, he can get himself a damn stang and let me have my fun with my little "slowica" lol. I want to be able to pride myself in doing the work on it, and i know it will take a lot of money but still.

what should i do? he's seriously trying to make me get rid of it, just when i fell in love with it smirk

Tell her to buy her own car.

The 2005 Mustang is a 300HP 4.6L SOHC 24V V8 buddy, a far cry from our 4bangers.

Tell him to go get a stang himself, the Celica owns in looks, in terms of modding, you could get great power with maybe 1500-2000 bucks, right now its a lot for me, but then again, I'm in school and not working.

Just tell him that it's you and the Celica or nothing. Well if he really cares for your feelings he should not impose on you. !!!!!!!!!

Do you mean he needs you to sell the Celica and with the money he will buy himself a Stang ??

Take care and keep the Celica.

Ok, there's a serious case of rice logic coming from 3/4ths of the members here. Don't listen ot them. Don't you both have your own cars?

DAMN girl LEAVE THAT BOY! UGH. LOL. NO ONE is going to tell me what car is worth modding and what isn't...it's all up to you and if you have a creative mind, you can make things work. Tell him TOO BAD, if he loves you, he's gonna have to accept your baby too! He's prolly just jealous...my ex boyfriend was really jealous and always telling me I'm doing too much to my car, that I'm a girl and should have this stuff...too bad...it's my car and more importantly...MY MONEY...so he can just step aside with his stupid FORD. Good luck girl!

you should really think over if he's the one, or you're just gonna waste your time and end up in a divorce.

just talk to him about, and see if he understands.

Don't let him push you around or let him make you think less of your awesome Celica. Keep it, you bought it, let him pay for his own Mustang if he wants one so badly. You can both mod your cars together and then settle the score at the track. cool thumbsup

rofl rofl that is funny shit!

I agree though, after modding your celica, you can spank some powerful cars and our celica is so much hotter than a lot of cars (me, personnally, all cars except one, the Supra lol). Keep it and tell him to fuck off. Stangs suck ass

I'd say fight him and keep the car. I could maybe understand his position if he was asking to trade it in towards the purchase of a "family" car or if it was a money issue. But he's asking you to get rid of your car so he can have the satisfaction of driving around a muscle car. Two door for a two door. Not fair. Marriages are give and take. If he truly cares about your feelings, he'll save his pennys and get the car himself.

Just out of curiosity, does he currently have his own car? If he does, and it's not as new and cool as yours, then that's why he's asking you to get rid of it.

There is something seriously wrong with your relationship. Let him buy his own car. If he wants a mustang, let him work to pay for his own car. He should let you have your own choice when it comes to vehicles, especially if you are paying for it. This is just the thin edge of the wedge. Expect more and worse as time goes on, unluess you put him in his place.

Definetly. Guys, you can give her suggestions, but stay OUT of her personal business b/t her fiance. It's NONE of our business. In other words, you shitbags stfu about dumping her fiance.

Agreed. I'd never suggest leaving him over this. You just need to let him know he can't push you around, and you're going to have the car you want. Sorry that one of your first threads here has all this presumptive stuff about how you should break up, etc. Alot of it is fueled by the Celica bias (and anti-Mustang bias) here. I hope you're still reading this thread, Ashley, and haven't gone off in disgust, but I'd understand it if you did.

You should get the Mustang. But only if he'll grow a mullet and wear sleevless flannel shirts. That way people can see who's idea it was to get a Ford "stang".

omg thatsfunny ^^^ rofl

Ok 4 real, it's ur car not his, he has no right to tell you what to do. Your life as well, follow your heart and love and make sure you don't step into a relationship where he calls the shots. It's should be a two way street. Let him get the Stanger, but make is a 67 1/2 not a 2005, yucko, but that is just IMO. Drive what ever you want. grin

Mod up the car you love, they stopped making them and disappearing fast, get better gas mileage and a hot girl in a hot car just don't get any better IMO.

Good luck either way thumbsup

haha you guys don't need to argue about getting into my personal business and telling me what to do... i'm the one who started this thread asking for opinions after all so i'm gonna get 'em!

flaming is seriously weirdness.

anyway... i don't remember all the questions in this thread but i'll try to answer most of them:

he drives a modded Ranger
that dude that posted up there about staying out of my business is not my fiance
there are other problems arising in our relationship and it's iffy at the moment, the car is just part of the whole
after much arguing he finally "AGREED" to keep MY celica... i'm still pissed about it but whatever, we're "thinking about things" anyway

as someone on the team celica forums pointed out, it's pretty messed up when he's gonna sell his truck and trade in MY car for something HE wants for HIMSELF.
