Hey guys. I know this had been approach many time but i'm stuck. My 2004 Celica GT-S manual transmission gave up a month ago. Being really hard to find a new one in the condition i want, i bought one from a 2003 Matric Xrs thinking it would fit. Once the transmission of my celica was out, i found that the linkage lever were on the opposite side ... I had done my research but i was wrong. Is there some way i can make it fit on my celica ? Are the internal really the same ? Is it really just the way that the gear selection lever work ? Are the fork working differently since the lever are not on same side ? I'm really out of solution and need help. I'm new to this forum, i've read a lot but never posted anything. So thanks in advance !

Hello! Did you ever fix this issue? I just got this same issue, I bought a new one and took the old one out to realise the shifter linkages are on the opposite side.

Thank you.: My dad for helping me out with the engine, and Gary's Custom Painting in PA for the bodykit!
