ok...my birthday is comin up soon and I think my parents and grandparents are gonna pull cash together to get me sum rims...my question is...should I go chrome, polished aluminum, powdered silver, white, or black? Im partial to chrome but how much added weight would it add? Oh and they'll be either 17" or 18"...thanks.

I have a Black 2002 Celica GTS and I have 18" Giovanna's (Kugi) in CHROME. It's a lot heavier but they will definitely get attention. I say go for Chrome and 18", what's an extra inch... grin

I am partial to silver rims on darker colored cars...chrome rims look more blingy and ghettoy to me. Silver (especially with a polished lip) gives you the look that you are a racer, and not just trying to make your car go bling bling. My 5ZR copses are silver with a polished lip...*BLING* *BLING* *BLING*

This is just my opinion, but I think that chrome rims take away from the car. People will be more focused on your wheels than your car. Thats cool that people like your wheels yea, but what about the rest of your car. I've got white wheels on a blue celica and the wheels bring attention to themselves and the rest of my car. Just my opinion though.
