I just got the cap from romania toyota and all it says is to remove this paper off this sticky thing and put it on...but it doesn't fit all the way on. The handle of the real gas cap is longer in height than the inlet is on the gas cap of where it would go...any one have the cap???? any suggestions i can do?? either put thicker sticker crap so it reaches the bottom or shave off the correct amount off the real cap????hmmmmm decisions. HELP

YOU HAVE A QUESTION?!! YES? NO? YES? NO? MAYBE?
NO YOU DONT HAVE A QUESTIONS? YOU DO HAVE A QUESTIONS? YES? NO?? HAHA

bump in the pants...help me on this one guys. I'm thinking I could drill two holes in the trd cap, then get some screws and drill them throught the holes into the original cap if it's not too thick. Might work out. What ya think?

Yea, I have the TRD oil cap and I put that on. But I also have the TRD fuel cap cover. It is supposed to stick over the stock cap but doesn't fit when they said it would. So I need some ideas on how I could get it to fit...hot glue, super glue, screw it on, shave off some of stock???? Anything to make it stay on. Freaking thing was like 40 bucks.

Not yet. I am deciding on what way to make it hold. The only reason the sticy tape doesn't fit is because the sixe of the handle part on the stock cap is larger than the inlet on the trd gas cap for it to go into, so the sticky things don't touch the stock cap. So I am still debating on what to do. These are some ways I might do it:
1. Take the two pieces of sticky tape and place them in the inlet part so it sticks to the handle part of the cap.
2. Drill two holes in the cap and into the stock one. (still a little skeptical about doing that)
3. Super glue it inlet part onto the stock cap.
4. Any other smart ideas???

Each idea is good. The drilling I don't know about cause I am afraid the plastic will crack. The glue is good and so is replacing the sticky things. So I need some advice from you people readling this on what is the best way---

What year is your celica? I got an 03. Well, all I did now was take those adhesive strips and placed them where the hanlde part goes. It's holding it, so its good. If it everntually falls off, I'll use glue.

No, I don't know what your talking about. I pulled off the leash. The part that is a ring around the actual cap just pulls off. Maybe it's different on the 03's, i have no clue. Mine fits now anyway. Thanks.

Mine is 2002 and glad to hear that yours fit now. Plus you can always return and get the full refund from TRD if they are not fit. Just let me know if you need any help!
