Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Help meee...I need RIMS! =/

I really need rims, but I'm not really that educated about them! I know I'll need to get a wheel and tire package. I want chrome..and I think I can only afford 17's..I don't want 18's cause wouldn't they lift my car more? I'm about to get it lowered 1.5''..and what do all those numbers mean!! Ahhhh... Help..

whoa slow down. first of all if you want some rims i would suggest you get a set in mind. then find out what size they come in (diameter, width, offset) then go wheel shopping, most places offer nice 17' wheel packages. if i could give you some adive please look around before you choose chrome.

18's wont lift your car. 40 seires tire is almost stock height & a 35 will lower the car 1/2" at the most.

What color of rims would look best on a solar yellow celi? I've looked at styles already..Just wanting opinions.

I personally like black or gunmetal rims with a polished lip...

Yellow is a tought color, I've seen some yellow cars with white & black rims & they look pretty good.

I think that good old silver would be the safest color pick here. Not nearly as bright as chrome, but darker than white (which I think is too light in contrast to the yellow).

Yup thats how you wanna go about this. I would say black with a yellow celica, I think it will go good with your light colored car.
