so my check wngine light iturns on whlie i am driving and i begin so freak out i turn of my stereo and listen to any abnormal sound but hear nothing i pull into my garage and open the hood only to heear a soft hissing noise it turns out that when i put in my aftermarket intake i didn't need that one little hole that stick out of the bottom of the engine(the one that regulates the opening and closing of the butterfly valve) was not sealed so i am going to seal it. i am just wondering though will the light go away oncew i fix the problem or do i have to do something special to make the light go away? confused

you have to reset the ECU after... but CEL's are very common with intakes for our cars, they should call it a CELica... welcome to the club.

I've never had a CEL with my AEM intake. Just disconnect the bettery terminal for about 15 min and that should reset the ecu.
