well i dont know if its the same noise your talking about but when i step on my brakes i hear noise coming from the back of my car specifically on the rear passenger!I finally figure out the problem when i took out the removable cover close to the tail lights and put my hand all the way down and found out there was a chunk of ice floating in water!it was raining like crazy the other day and it was freezing the following week i guess it got in there some how and froze!
