I wouldn't. The average person won't even notice unless they study it like you do.

Looks rather mangled. Those plastics are there for good looks just like the engine plastics. You take them off and it will look uglier than before. Did you try fixing them yourself? The installer should have covered that.

I like your Photoshop alterations! In my own perspective, since i enjoy fabricating things, i would take the entire thing off and replace it with another plastic piece that makes all the appropriate connections. As a matter of fact, you could probaly go to a junk yard and find some nice pieces that you can glue together or whatever to achieve the desired effect. If you don't feel like going through that much effort, then i would leave it like previously stated. No one is going to say much unless you point it out.
Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

You don't want to take it off. One of mine got ripped off by my 18's, and I got lazy and took a few months to put a new one back on. It just ruins the inside of your wheel well, and my clear corner would just fill up with dirty water cause there would always be so much shit hitting the back side of it. Leave it on.

What you need to do is get a pop-riveter and some stiff black plastic, and extend the plastic so you can get tuck them in.
