hey guys, so this is pretty much the people with the low aftermarket suspension/bodykits. how do you guys drive around? are you guys extremely careful when coming out of drive ways and such? i am afraid that if i put in my trd springs i will be scraping my vizage lip too often.

my car isn't even lowered and i have the TRD kit. i've been over some hurtful curbs (ask Smartie) and when I saw the underside of my car while the underglow was being put in i was amazed cause there isn't a scratch! eek like anywhere at all. so i give mad props to Toyota cause that kit has held up well.

That's it, you just have to be mad careful when going over any speed bumps or steep driveways and whatnot.

Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

you and I have the same kit and I'm with full TRD suspension on 18"... I've had almost NO problems.

"ALMOST" = Driving up and down curbs at angles, and when I'm in a "one-way" drive way such as those at fast-food drive-troughs, I take the driveway extremely slow that my suspension is at its HIGHEST point possible at all times. If I would race through the driveways, the suspension would compress and my car would be lower - scraping the kit edges.

You made a great choice - you should have no problems with your Vizages kit... unless you are dealing with the Glendale's extremely deep/thin driveways

Yeah you just got to be careful...I also have the vizage kit and I havent scraped once in 3 months (knock on wood). Of course I am yet to drop my car (I still havent decided if I am going to). Just use good judgement and know your area so you know which ways to exit and enter parking lots.

Really, you're just driving like you "should" when you have a lower front. Your car will thank you down the line for not taking those dips and speed bumps at 35mph spineyes

At nite you gotta watch out for rocks or debry that might be on the road. The other day I hit a chunk of ice on the passenger side. Needless to say, there's a nice 1" crack on my front lip, but you can't see it, unless your underneath the car. And besides, it's your daily car, it's gonna get straches & small imperfections, it comes with the territory. It's not a trailer queen grin

it's also worth remembering that the trd kit is the 'highest' of all body kits for the celica.

high kit = less scraping...thats the advantage of having a high kit..the disadvantage is most people prefer a lower look.

i was thinking 'bout the vizage kit...

my car is already lowered 2" and i have been unsure of what kits could be implemented...

how much lower does the front lip, sideskirts, and rear actual reduce clearance from stock?
