long story but i had one in 2001 (see sig). now i'm wanting to get one again but i'm afraid i may not be very comfortable in one as my daily driver. i'm 6'3". i think legroom is ok with the seat all the way back but i'm concerned about headroom. anyone else that tall? what do you guys think?
Well if you had one already then you should know if your too tall or not, right???? I think i am confused!!!
that was 2 and a half years ago.
Why don't you go to the TOYOTA dealer ,jump in to one Celica, test drive it and you will find an answer on all your qwestions...my dear friend.
they won't let me drive one. i was up there and lookin at an 04 gts w/ action package. the guy immediately asked if i wanted to drive it and i said yes. then he saw i had my mustang and i told him i wasn't gonna trade it in. so he knew i wasn't gonna buy and just ran inside and told me to grab him if i had questions. (it was cold out).
thats why you say "yes sir im looking to drop this ford like 3 period french"
hey thats a 20 minute phone call "if i have seen farther it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" derek: do you know that non dairy cream is flamable Jennie: ...derek..what did you do
I'm 6'1" and the leg room is a little tight (bent knees), head room is close I gotta watch the spikes (rub on the headliner). Most of the time I'm fine but sometimes I want to stretch my legs and can't.

its definately not good for long trips.
My average drive to work is about an hour and a half, I do fine. The longest I've done is 4 hours, felt good to get out after that.
Back to the size problem...I am 6'2" and still had room in a celica.
i know i will fit, but were you comfortable?
I was comfortable, though it was only for a few miles...One thing I noticed was...I gained some weight since the last time I was in the celica...lol...the seats fit a lil tight around the sides!

have have 04 with action package???? "that is trd body kit right?? my sales man told me there weren't any...
Im 6'3' and have no problems. But i ride stretched out with one hand on the wheel and lean back against the seat. If you sit straight up when you drive your gonna have some probs.

Ask Stephen and he'll say you'll fit no problem. He's 6'5" and drives his everyday. And long trips seem to be no problem, drove from Vegas to Calgary with no breaks... 22 hours. Stay away from the moonroof.
Im about 6'3" and drive mine daily. I even did a trip with a few friends. We went from Nashville Tennessee to Gulf Shores Florida in 6 hours with 1 stop and had no problems. I also have a tall mid section, i lean back some when i drive but i have no problems.
I've got all of you beat. I'm 6'6" I drive mine every day, and have taking trips over 10 hours no problem. I have a moonroof and I dont have a problem with headroom. If your looking to get one without a moonroof, good luck. I think allmost all of them come from the factory with one. Allthough that might depend on your area?
Make SURE that you can find a comfortable seating position without your hair touching the headliner, your arm stretched further than you'd like to reach the wheel, or your knees burried in the side of the footwell. I bought mine without thinking of the ergonomics on long rides... I love it around town, but anything 50+ miles is a bitch for comfort.
I'm just a crosshair I'm just a shot away from you

Hellz ya. Yah, I remember even you sat in one at the dealership that had a moonroof and the headroom was a little tight. Sucks cause I love looking up through moonroofs, but not if I'm close enough to kiss the glass
There's no way you can be too tall for the celica. I'm 6'3 also, and the head room is fine. Just put the seat all the way back and recline a little bit.
