I'm currently saving up money, and I can't decide between two big things: rims or a system. Which is more important do you think? At first I thought rims, now I'm second guessing. Opinions?

I personally would take rims over a system. The stock sound system is pretty good in the celi...Rims are enjoyable and add a nice flare to the car

rims..but you have to lower it or it will not flow..more money there. I got a system first and I love it, yet I prefer a body kit first my 2cents

I'd go with a system. Rims make the car look nice, but you can actually enjoy a system while you're driving the car. Plus you don't have to worry about curbing the system or bending it on a pothole.

Thats mostly up to you, I'd say rims, and that the sound system in the Celi is good enough for now.

So you have a veilside front bumper but stock sides and rear? That must look funky.. finish the kit before you get rims.

depends on what you like to do in your car. Personally i'd rather have more power and better handling. I would recommend new struts and springs, along with possibly an intake, little more power and nicer sound. I'm not too concerned about what other people think about my car though. Rims look nice but the majority of them either cost too much or will slow you down. System would be nice but it also slows you down and takes up precious room in your trunk. But the decision is yours, think about how you want to mod YOUR celi. Think about how you drive, what you do when you drive, what will make you happy.

My stereo system was the first thing I did to my celica. I had my car for 3 day then I added a stero system. A yr later I bought other mods such as exhaust/intake... Music is a big part of my life.
Sound System all the way

I'm currently saving up money, and I can't decide between two big things: rims or a system. Which is more important do you think? At first I thought rims, now I'm second guessing. Opinions? whichever satisfies you more. forget money and looks for now. just think which one you will enjoy more. IMO system if you cant stand the stock system and ur a music freak. theres no time when i drive the car without music. so i would get system first. ur gonna get more benefited with that since it really improves something that ur always using. rims, yea their cool, but ur car will run the same with nicer rims. and fuck the looks for the instant, just you enjoy urself driving while you look over more rims to find some rims you really like.

Do rims...rims can make or break a car...a car with nice rims looks 10x better...even if its a pos car.

well i got a system, that was the first thing i got and i wish i would have gotten rims first. well if you decide to get a system first, make sure you get rims next because you definitely need rims if ur gonna get any other 'big' appearance effects.

how big a system, are you going for sonic accuracy, or are you going to try to tell people 6 streets down what you are listening to? if you like it sounding good for you, not necessarily for the rest of the world then i got an amplified bazooka tube for $249. sounds good in the car, does not make all ya parts rattle. only one connector if you want to take it out for weight. does not take up the whole trunk. i had my rims and lowering kit done after because of the cost. but since then i have done the lowering, the rear hotchkis camber links, full hotchkis sway bars, apr strut bar. all good stuff. my tires are my limiting factor when it comes to how well it handles.

I think it would look weird if you just left your stock 15"s...

I'd go with rims. Aftermarket head systems get jacked more...or at least here in SoCal they do.
