Has anyone swapped in a 2.4 vvt-i out of the camrys or other toyo's into a celi GT? It may be a lot of work for such little difference, but doesn't that motor come with like 160 hp and 160 trq at the flywheel? Seems like a better starting point for modding, and dont the gt 1.8 and that motor have a pretty close redline? Wouldn't it be easy to find one from a wrecked camry since there are so many of them things. Probably cant be too hard of a swap, with the exception of mounting points (have no idea).

What yall think?

not worth it. just get a turbo and build the internals or if you are dead set on doing a swap get a 3S-GTE

I don't want the swap cause Im satisfied with my gts, but it seems like a better starting point for a turbo setup, and would be easier electronically than a 3sgte

Yea, I don't think it's worth it. The slight difference in HP won't be that noticeable thumbsdown
