Exactly, but as said above, it will not fit in the celica yet.

They say the V2 spirals the air into the throttle body better. It must because they have more hp and torque then just the regular cold air model. Celica parts seem like they are made last because they always do Honda and Acura first then they move to other compaines.

Also is it true the CAI is hooked up to the air conditioning and thats why they call it a CAI?

Absolutely not. It should be called a "Cooler Air Intake" because it takes air from around your wheel well, and not under the hood. The air under the hood is obviously hotter than the air outside because of the engine and all of that good shit. By taking air further away from the engine, it takes in cooler air to your intake manifold. The colder the air, the more dense it is, and the more that can squeezed into the engine for combustion.

That's just like that stupid Tornado thing. It's pretty much bullshit because the air would be disrupted after it passed by the plate in your throttle that controls how much air is inducted.

I thought that it just had a bigger pipe so it could suck more air in. I could be wrong though.

i think few ppl installed AEM V2 on celicas and say it has bad fitment. but there are ppl who have it. correct me if im wrong. my friend got a v2 for his rsx-s, he replaced it with his aem SRI. he satisfied with the gains, but prefers the SRI noise over the v2's.

Here's a quote from AEM's web site about the V2...

"The AEM V2 Intake utilizes a dual chamber (using two different diameters and lengths of piping), to create multiple frequency sound waves that help charge the cylinders with air throughout the entire rpm range."

Mmmm, yeah. Whatever that means. cool

I got a friend with a 2000 Prelude VTEC and he used to have an AEM Intake on it and a few weeks ago he installed his new V2 and he isnt happy, he says its not much of a difference, but it looks way nicer than any other intake on the market IMO. thumbsup

this has been discussed many times... why do people still confuse the AEM V2 intake with the AEM Gen 2 intake they are two diffrent intakes boys and girls grin
anyways i doubt that it will ever come out for the celi that thing has a huge piping(almost 4-5"-iam gusssing here)i saw it at SEMA last year there is no room for it in the celi engine bay frown
AEM GEN 2(for our cars)

AEM V2(doubt that it will come out)
