short ram sounds dope bro. it sounds as good as a CAI. a friend of mine (RSX-S) had a short ram and it was loud and nice as fuck. today he got aem v2 CAI and he called me and said it sounds fucked up and he wants to put back the SRI.

ya ive heard that the short ram has the right shape to actually amplify the sound...the curve helps bounce the sound but the CAI just has to many twists that it kills the throaty sound

i had the trd exhaust first, then added the short ram. the intake is louder than the exhaust it is ok because i did not want the car to sound like a chainsaw on steriods. loud is cool, if fast. loud and slow sucks. nothing funner than beatin a old bike runnin 15 second 1/4 miles that you can hardly stand beside because of the noise. yes my bike is loud, but i run 10.71

It's kinda like a "Keeeeeeeeeeehghhshhhhhhhhhhbrrrrrrrrr"
Shit, no...wait, not that. Like this "Shhhhhhherrrrrrrrrhhhhgssarrrrrrrr" and then it kinda winds up a little like "Urgrshatrrrrrrrr"

Sometimes if you really mash the gas you get a little "Cershhhharargggggg" sound too.

Haha, in all seriousness though, I've got a short ram and the sound is really cool. I'd totally recommend getting one, it looks awesome and the sound is good too.

holy crap cool! thumbsup

Quick Question, when I got my car I made a deal that I got 3 years of free oil changes. Since I bring mine into the dealer for that would they give me a hard time for having a short Ram under the hood?

I dont think they should but then again it really depends on the dealership.

i have had both CAI and short ram.. and now having the short ram... there is a slight very slight power difference.. i still here the same hissing sound from the short ram.. but definately not as much as when i had the cold air intake.

with the CAI.. and stepping on the gas... there was more of a "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" sound when hitting high RPM's.. with the short ram.. doing the same thing.. its more of a quicker RAAAA and then you hear more of the engine working.. which flows nicely..

CAI i think is nice performance wise but has 2 downfalls.. its a BIIIAAAAAAAACH to clean...and i hate the fact that its right behind the wheel well.. when taking the car to a car wash.. oh yea cant forget ... most of the intake tubing you cant see for the CAI.. and you dont know how its doing.. holding up to the pressure of driving or whatever. the short ram.. you can see fully.. and keep tabs on cleaning it or keepin it in perfect functioning order.
