this is my first time putting a body kit on.. from what i've heard.. the rear and front bumpers use the existing screws and have the same holes...
now the side skirts...i know i have to dril and screw screws on the end parts that are in the wheel wells..
but on the top of the skirt... when i drill holes on the top and screw the skirts in on the top.. when i open the door.. are the screws going to be visible(what i really want to know)? if possible i'd like to see a close up of someones kaminari sideskirts on the ends and with the door open..
oh i just put the sides and back on a couple minutes ago.. man that was a breeze.. the bumper was cake...a lil drilling here and there... but easy.. the sideskirts... man that must have been the easiest thing to do... but i realized that the guy before drilled holes on top of the sideskirt... and i guess a lot of people just use double sided tape on top. Me on the other hand.. im going to have to use screws now or something. oh well.. i'll put the front on later... its not painted yet.
thanks guys... man this is the kit i always wanted but thought i could never have.. woo hoo! i feel like crying.. but not really... i actually feel like creaming my pants because my car looks awesome!
hehe anyways.. yeah tony.. thats who i got the body kit from... did i buy a something that you wanted again? hehe i hope not!
Damn u, Oscar!!! You "STOLE" the whole kit from me. Hahahahha... Just kidding. I was gonna get it from him the last time he had it on sale. But, someone out bid me. Well, I guess that deal didn't go through. At any rate, I am glad you got the kit that you always wanted. I am pretty happy with my TRD.
Really BAD reality TV is the reason I stopped watching MTV.
congrats on the kit. i fell in love with my car all over again after the kaminari went on it. did you get yers in urethane? if so, beware that the side skirts will contract and expand according to how hot/cold it is, causing the stockskirts to show at times, but you can't tell when the door is shut. just fyi
yeah i love this kit... just gotta get the front painted and put on and its done... anyways.. mine is fiberglass... i can see the stock sides on the corners in the front and back of the skirts but other than that.. it looks great... i think im just gonna screw the top of the skirts on and then get some aluminum floor mats... maybe that would like.. "racier" look?
