Hey, I was checking my engine bay and I noticed a few hoses are taped together and one has a hole in it, does anyone know what hose this is for? I’ve attached an image, thanks in advance

Wiring shielding! Typically cracks and becomes very brittle over decades of time. I have multiple in mine that are missing chunks.
I guarantee inside that "hose," is wiring. They probably used some form of electrical tape to seal it up.
