UPS delivered this today.

And contrary to the ignorant criticisms of certain people (you know who you are) this DOES NOT ATTACH WITH VELCRO. It bolts on with the provided hardware.

It is a little thin, but, no, you cannot see through it at all.

but looks good :-)

Since TRD Came out with the Half Piece that caps over the plastic piece

with there 1x1 crooked weave wet-laminate piece

TRD goes ontop of stock pieces or its a full replacement?

check the location of the oil-cap & bolts - it's leaving much of the engine still exposed if the TRD piece is a full replacement... the part of the engine that doesn't look pretty

Found one picture you can either mount it with the original cover off or on top 2 ways

but a lot people complain because it shows all the wires as you can see in the pic below

Looks like I'll probably leave the oem cover on and just put the trd one over the top; I'll post pics after tomorrow when I install it.

And IPT, you do make a quality product; I'm not knocking you.

But, you really lost a lot of credibility by making blatantly false statements about TRD's product and then whoring this thread with your advertisement.

i believe the cover was cut in that mannetr to accomodate the trd supercharger for the corolla and matrix...it just happens to fit our celicas...

WERD! Big Props to Evan for put the real deal on the TRD on the boards. Want to see that installed with the stock cover, may have to buy that after all.

IMO, IPT needs to drop its prices even more. They make a awesome product but the cost. You can buy almost 2 Carbon Fiber hoods for the cost of there full engine kit.

YES, some company here should stop giving wrong information to hurt other company, and charging for a rediculous highamount of money.

That is why are prices are more becasue we use no giberglass and vacum packed and autoclaved

I do like the TRD cover it is just a Wet-lamiante piece

not what they claim full carbon fiber

that is why it is cheap

you can tell a wet laminate piece by the way the weave is crooked

that is becasue they lay it over fiberglass and it is not bagged or autoclaved

But i do like your piece

people wanted see a picture so i found one

and as for the velcro a TRD rep told me it was FRank

I used to be sponsored by TRD in 2000 so i called him to ask that is what he told me

IPT-the covers you sell are indeed of higher quality. it is pricey and i understand your position to promote your products, nothiong wrong with that...i think people get annoyed with advertiseing on their face all the time. everyone is aware of the quality of your products...they are some of the best c/f peices you can buy for the celi, bar none...just letting you know where some of the hostility in this thread is comming from. personally i found noting wrong with it...but people are different.

I think it's great that IPT and Parker are really on the ball. They have given ecelica good prices and reacted to another choice to offer some competition. Both look good but I find the TRD one a bit small. Nice to have great support from a company with great looking products.
