I was driving my auto and accidently fliped from drive to nuetral. I heard the engine wind up then took my foot off and it went down and continued driving. My CEL cam on less than 100 yards away. I came home disconnected my battery and now it is gone. If was anything serious would the CEL come back? If somethings wrong i dont wonna make it worse.

**I have only reset it then turned it on to see it was off. I havent driven since this.

if it comes back on get the code pulled and then you'll know whats wrong.

if it doesnt come back you'll be fine.

Autozone will even check to see what your code is for free.

You know how toyota can tell the RPMs and everything. How many miles does that last for and is there anyway to erase that? I dont want it showing whatever when i take it in.

spaz is right reseting the ecu would clear the computers memory, unless its a hard code that was stored then your CEL would come back on. otherwise i wouldn't worry about it.
