i have a 2000 gts manual and when i put my car into first gear with my foot only on the clutch not on the accelorator and i release the clutch slowly my car moves it goes to the point where if i take my foot of the clutch the car doesn't stall it just roles( keep in mind during the whole time i did not place my foot on the accelorator at all) is this normal because i htough that if the car is in gear to not stall the car you have to place your foot on the accelorator? ohh and this is on a level road not a decline or incline in the road

It's normal man. The car only stalls in that situation if you take your foot off of the clutch very quickly. If you ease off of the clutch it doesnt stall it engages at a very low RPM.

This is possible I can do that too, however it could also mean your clutch is going.
To tell for sure get your car into 4th or 5th gear at low rpm mash the throttle if your clutch is going your rpm's will climb rapidly but the car won't go any faster.
IT IS WHAT IT IS AND EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING.

I don't know if that's normal. I know my car would stall. My friend use to have an old Bronco and could let out the clutch and start moving with out giving it gas. I can't remember the problem it's on the tip of my tongue. Check this out. May or may not help... diagnosing and servicing [ babcox.com]

if car is cold the idle will be higher like 1-2krpm and this is possible, probably wont' happen if car is warm without stalling.

I really think it's normal, and already tryed this. I also used this method to show my girlfriend how the clutch work and how to get the feeling of it!

perfectly normal. what he said when the engine is cold, your car will idle at about 1k rpm, (when warm it will idle more around 750rpm). when your clutch is pressed down, you are obviously in neutral (no matter what "gear" your shifter is in--duh). so your engine will go into its idle rpm settings. slipping the clutch very slowly will allow the clutch to spin first gear slowly because your tranny is still spinning.

Holy shit man, I have NO clue...I always stall if I let my foot TOTALLY off the clutch without using the gas, I thought all manual transmissions did it's not the transmission it's the torque. in our cars and a lot of low torqued imports, letting completely off the clutch will stall your car (well most cars for that matter). buddy of mine who has an '03 cobra (he's a bit over 400rwhp) can let off the clutch and the car doesnt stall because even at that low rpm it has enough torque to get going. . . . he probably has more torque at 1k rpm's then i do anywhere on my rpm range
