can you buy paint from toyota?? (like one pt.) i found a guy that said he would paint my body kit for like $150-200 + paint and he also said that if i could get the paint directly from toyota it would eliminate the possibility of the color being off. im just scared that toyota will rape me in the process.

The color can still be off. Depending on how old your car is. The paint can and will fade over time. He still might have to blend the hood/fenders to make it look good!! thumbsup

I've been though this one.

I went to my local dealer and ask about buying a small amount of paint so that I could do my engine plastics.

The guy told me they only sell it by the Qt. and it would be around $80. They also have this little machine that they put on the paint to color match it perfectly. That way if the paint had any faiding it match exactly.
He also told me every place paints the car slightly different(the colors are off just a little).
Now this guy might be full of it or it might just be the way they do it this dealership works.

I don't know if that helped at all but that was what happened to me. Just call around to different dealers and ask them.

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

Unless a body shop does blend the car in, the paint will never match. The paint from the pint is always going to fresh, and your paint on your car wears and fades some. I really didn't have to worry about it because my car is fairly new. However, if you car is couple of years old, you should request the paint to be blended. Its gonna costs you $$$$.

My car might be slow, but at least it looks nice!

I just went to carquest. They even have a book to find the right color and a pint cost 30 bucks.
