Got some help yesterday from two friends putting it on.
What I noticed is that it's not that much lighter than stock, basically since our stock hood isn't that heavy.I'd say it weighs about 2/3 of the stock hood.

We put it on, took about 5 minutes. Problem I encountered was that the hood could not close enough due to the latch being a bit too long.

Since I don't have a welding machine (to shorten the latch) I took out the opening/closing mechanism for the latch. 3 bolts, unhook cable. Then widened the holes until I could close the hood perfect.

About the color, it's black/silver kevlar, not bulletproof. the weave is about the same as c/f. I actually think it's a mix of kevlar and c/f. The silver isn't as bling-bling as chrome. I assume this is caused since the resin isn't 100% colorless.

Anyway I am really happy about this hood. I also love how it flows with my kaminari kit. It doesn't have the raised scoop. The scoop is also NOT removeable. I don't mind, I think a raised scoop might make it too aggressive anyways.

Hoodpins are delayed a bit, I will be putting on the lockable pins, I love those.

Enough with talks, check these pics

I think I have no choice but to remove Bat's overlays now. I don't like them anymore with this hood.

Ya I would say to lose the overlays. Other then that it looks awesome. Similar to what I would like to do with my silver GTS.

Get another set in Carbon Fiber, or smoke them.

Sweet! You're right: it does go really well with your kam kit. Ya know, with the non-removable oem style scoop, that hood sorta reminds me of the c-one carbon fiber hood.

Nice!! thumbsup thumbsup

Oh yeah, one more thing.. locking pins are the way to go. That's what I've got (even though I haven't ordered my hood yet grin)

This thread is pretty old indeed smile
I got my headlights painted black in the meanwhile.

Rims are brand new, so they'll stay on for a while..
A raised scoop would make it too aggressive I think

I've got hoodlocks, going to install friday
